Superman Returns Poster is Up in Theaters

The only posters I've seen here in Aus is the standard one. But late last year I saw a tram covered in the \s/ logo. It was so cool. It wasn't the Returns shield though, just the original one.

X-Men 3 and POTC are over the place here. MI has stuff out too, WB not having anything seems odd. BB had stuff out here by thiss time last year and I thought the SR campaign was going to be like the BB one. But it is looking more low-key that BB so far.

I am glad that the Superman Returns Campaign is NOTHING the Batman Begins one. With Batman Begins they showed so much so soon & also when the time came Marketing was basically non existent AFTER the Movie came out. Particuarly with the TV Spots. They stopped airing them completely AFTER the Movie came out when that s the time they should be airing NON STOP. I am glad in the long run that WB is doing it like this, They are LEARNING from their Batman Begins MISTAKES. That is the way I see it. Batman Begins had MUCH MORE against that Movie then Superman Returns does. Especially with the last 2 Batman Movies.

^^Very true and very well said. I think the reason they are approaching the marketing like they are, is because of Batman.

So a part of the non-existent marketing so far is probably due to a cutback in the marketing budget. Right now WB would be scared to throw another 50 million into the film. Especially is Icahn gets control of the board. Jobs could be on the line.
