Amazing. Just amazing!
I live in Orlando, FL. I was just returning home and stopped at PUBLIX Supermarkets (for those unfamiliar with this supermarket, this is one of the best Supermarkets in Florida. It also operates in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee)
Now, I enter the supermarket and see this huge, but HUGE Superman Returns Pepsi display. I didn't even know this. But Pepsi is having a
$1,000,000 million contest for the movie to "catch" Lex Luthor with some codes from Pepsi boxes and products. Anyway, I see these people staring at the display, believe me IT'S A HUGE DISPLAY. It's like a "castle" sorrounded by Pepsi products.
What are these people staring at?
A 70'' INCH GIGANTIC TV SCREEN showing
SR theatrical trailer n#1! over and over and over.
I was like, WTF!!...
I have NEVER PERSONALLY seen this type of promotion on a movie. Perhaps they've been other movies with this same or even bigger promotions, but to see this trailer in this huge TV playing over and over is a first for me, seriously.
I actually watched it TWICE before going to back to buy some things at the supermarket!.... lol.
I asked one of the employees if people actually stopped to see this. He says "Of course, every hour you see people watching the trailer" I didn't have my camera with me, but this display is HUGE people. It has Superman all over. The famous standing pose picture. Him flying, etc.
One little minor problem. It says ALL OVER.
JUNE 30TH. Even the trailer says June 30th. WB didn't update new information.
I was just so surprised at this.
