Potential Black Widow Film

Self explanatory. Let's discuss the Black Widow film. And please can we not just talk about her appearance. I appreciate Scarlett Johanson is gorgeous but that is certainly not the only thing to her. She's a talented actress and Widow is a great character. If this is directed/written well it could be an amazing film.

This is nothing against Scarlett, but I really don't want a Black Widow film. She works best as a supporting character IMO, and there's far more deserving characters of a solo outing.

That said, a Black Widow/Hawkeye movie with a few other agents like Mockingbird and a tone like CA:TWS would be awesome.

I would be happy to see a Widow solo movie - every movie Marvel makes does not need to be a $200 million block buster and maybe she would be a good character to test these waters with.

I do not recall any "classic" story arcs of hers that Marvel could build a feature around - any come to mind ...?

If this movie is made, it's simply due to the fact that Johanson is Black Widow. She's far bigger than the character she plays.

I am ok with an agents of shield movie idea with whole cast of AOS and including nick fury , BW , hawkeye etc .
similar to kind of a power ranger type movie .

... but I wouldn't say no to a "Secret Avengers" type movie with Black Widow, Captain America (Bucky), Hawkeye, Falcon, Sharon Carter etc, featuring Steve Rogers, Maria Hill, Nick Fury and maybe War Machine.

Anything a Black Widow movie could contribute to the MCU another team-based movie could do ten-fold

I don't really want a Black Widow film... What I like about Widow right now is that she is quite mysterious... If they do a film, they will probably draw out what made Widow the way she is and all that will do is take away from her mystery.

I'd rather want to see a SHIELD film, and have her turn on SHIELD.. Then reveal she was a spy for HYDRA, but it would turn out that she was a triple agent, she was undercover as a member of HYDRA only reporting to Fury.

This. She's awesome in the capacity they've used her thus far... The roster is crowded, with many other big Avengers still not even on the screen yet. She doesn't need her own movie.

I'd love to get a Black Widow movie. It'd be a spy thriller kind of like CA:TWS, except instead of having a goody goody two shoes protagonist we'd have a morally ambiguous one, and it could be about her past coming back to haunt her. I'd love a movie that dug deep into her past.
