Powers: Dos and Don'ts

Its techically not a new power but more of an introduction to Peter when he returns. Claire's mother meets peter when he returns from somewhere and he bursts into flames and does not know what to do. He would just be looking at everyone, like "hey i'm on fire guys, help!" It would be funny, and link to the 5 years later episode.

As gilpesh said, gravity manipulation would be cool to see, but it would be to close to telekinesis.

Water manipulation would be kinda cool, form a giant bubble of water or form a tidal wave.

Yeah, it kinda is. I said close to because if someone "turned off" gravity, and a person began to float, someone might be confused and think it would be telekinesis. Or slamming someone to the floor to where the person couldn't move or get up, is similar to telekinesis.

it would be cool to see, but there might be some confusion to telekinesis and gravity manipulation. Maybe if it was like a power to generate points of gravity, that way a person could walk normally on ceilings and walls would be cool.

And what is a "graviton"?

Man, it almost doesn't matter to me. This show was so jammin' in its FIRST season, they could throw just about anything at me and I'd be happy.

Yes, dumb things down cause people won't get it. Such a wonderful idea.

REAL super strength

Well lets see:

- She ripped an entire bank safe door off
- She defeated a gang of three guys by herself
- She's ripped three or four full grown men in half
- She's thrown two men twice her size across a room and out of a window
- She ripped handcuffs that were chained to a table right off, as well has handcuffs that were tied to the guard rails of a staircase
- She breaks a guards nightstick in half
- She pulls an entire door of it's hinges
- She rips the knob off of a door
- She picks up a parking meter with her bare hands.

I don't know how much more "Super" she can get with her strength.

Who's talking about dumbing things down. We're talking about the fact that gravity manipulation would come off looking far too similar to telekinesis, thus being quite uninteresting. Why bother with a new power if it looks nearly identical to another?

It would be like bringing in a shapeshifter. You already have Candice, who can do that and more, so why bother? What new does it add to the show?

I thought a seductress was already supposed to be on the show or coming to the show? Also, Nikki hasn't been given a real fight to use her super strength like we're familiar with, but it is there.

They need someone who can't die.. Like a cheerleader.
Perhaps someone who can teleport, or freeze time.. Like an asian guy..
And maybe a mind reader. A cop would be good for this..
And they need someone who can absorb powers.. Like Spongebob Squarepants.

ok I was going to use this as a character in my comics when I grow up but I'll put it out here manipulation of the light spectrum meaning that they can change normal light into inferred and then into gamma radiation and microwaves. He could give a character Cancer or something

I mean incredible feats of strength. Yes, all of those are very nice, but I want to be amazed. If someone lifts a car above his or her head, THAT is super.

You mean like a guy who can emit radiation?

Cause.... um... Ted?

you want Superman basically. There isnt really a need to lift cars and do major things if it doesnt go along with the story somehow. If Nikkis son gets stuck under a car then sure, but just to do it to wow some fans then it doesnt realyl serve a purpose.

I was gonna say that.. lol.

While the light powers are a good idea, Ted already is radioactive, so he can release gamma rays already.

Howa bout Darkness powers, to control shadows, and submerge within them.. (Kinda like Raven from Teen Titans)

Or someone who is great with accuracy for weapons (i.e. Bullseye)

Yeah that kinda distance requires real accuracy. :cwink:

Um... we already have that guy. Noah Bennett... you saw how he shot his boss in the head.

The lack of hesitation in that scene was strangely refreshing. You never get to see someone just blow a guy's head off in film or television. They always have to make a long speech.

Count me in on Speed, I really wanna see it in Volume 2.
