Lol, I didn't mean no one should like the art. Heck, I really dug both the guys' work on Spidey when they both 1st started to really sink their teeth in.

I was just pointing out the extreme irony, and posing a question at the same time.

i allways dug romitas work. he makes probably the best 616 spider-man (after bagley) there is, was and probably will be...

Is Janson really THAT good anymore?

I know he made a name for himself inking Frank Miller's stuff in the early 80's, but since that Electro 3 parter in Spider-Man #37, 38 & 39 (I think it's those issues) where he inked his own artwork, it just seemed "blah" to me.

Yea, I agree. I was never much on Janson's stuff because it's so sketchy looking at times,but he works well with Romita for the most part.
Another good thing with JRJR is that his Peter Parker.....will actually look like Peter Parker!!t: Not just some guy with brown hair.

I just bought ASM Coming Home TPB. I enjoy his work. It is pretty messy but not bad...not bad at all!

I've always been a fan of his stuff so this is great news for me. I would love to see him on an X-book again someday though. His run on Uncanny in the 80's is some of his best work imo.

Reading a lot of the complaints about JRJR is making me think of something he said at the Fan Expo in Toronto last weekend. He told us about some guy online named "Doc Orlando" who absolutely hates his work and trashes it whenever he gets the chance, but he still keeps buying it. JRJR's message to him was "Doc Orlando, I KNOW you're in the this room and if you are....you're an ass and thank you for your money.". t:

Agreed. Now if the name Stern was attached to Romita's, life would be perfect.

I actually prefer son of Romita's style on the Stern run when he was drawing more like his dad. He eventually created his own style, which is great, but il take the classic Romita/Kane look over it anyday.

Anyway cool news he is back on ASM, the book is going to be crazy.

It's a unique style that can look pretty messy, but I love how he draws proportions and facial features. Usually everything looks artistic yet normal.

Oh man this is freakin' awesome! John Romita Jr is my all time favorite comic book artist on the Amazing Spider-Man and just period, I am very happy that he is returning to the web slingers pages. It's about time I was wondering when or if he would ever do so again soon lol. But this is truly great I just wish he was doing the entire line again and not just one of those other guys that will be drawing him but it's still great that he return I can't wait to see the issue and what will it be about.
