Pre-Endgame bingewatch

I'd probably add Civil War to that as well, if I were you

I did that last year for Infinity War. Just figured I'd do Avenger films this time but the Steve/Tony story arc is still going on so you may be right.

I'm doing these chronologically by timeline order, so I already watched TFA, CM, IM, IM2, TIH, Thor, & The Avengers

Because I'm crazy and like to set myself nerdy challenges now and then, I've taken up the task of watching the entire MCU, including Oneshots and TV shows in CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER. I've had a few moments where I considered throwing in the towel (*cough* Iron Fist *cough*) but right now I'm part way through the 4th Season of SHIELD having also watched up to Doctor Strange in the movies and done the first wave of Netflix shows up to The Defenders. It's looking like I'll probably finish way before Endgame comes out so I'll most likely be watching just the movies again as a refresher in the week leading up to the big one.

During this insane challenge I did come across a few problems with the order I found so when I do the films again I've decided to make some adjustments. The biggest changes come about closer to the end of Phase 3 just to account for post credit scene placement.

My new order will be as follows:

Captain America: The First Avenger (minus Avengers trailer post credits)
Captain Marvel (one cinema trip later)
Iron Man
Iron Man 2 (minus post credits, it's a scene in Thor anyway)
The Incredible Hulk
Thor
The Avengers
Thor: The Dark World
Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2
Iron Man 3
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ant-Man (minus post credits, it's a scene in Civil War anyway)
Captain America: Civil War
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Black Panther
Ant-Man and the Wasp (minus post credits, saving it for later)
Doctor Strange (minus mid credits, it's a scene in Ragnarok anyway)
Thor: Ragnarok
Avengers: Infinity War (plus post credits for Ant-Man and the Wasp)

Iron Man 2 and Hulk are always difficult to arrange but I think the scene at the end of Hulk works better knowing he's been reduced to a consultant role by Fury in Iron Man 2. Also, I really like having Homecoming, BP and Wasp as a nice little post-Civil War "what happened next for these guys" trilogy, then followed by a trilogy of Doctor Strange appearances. Guardians 1 and 2 go together following the post credits scene of Thor 2 instead of going straight to Winter Soldier and doing Vol.2 later.

Ragnarok HAS to come just before IW. I've been tripping on Captain Marvel so much that it just now occurred to me.....I can't WAIT to see the credits scenes after Endgame....

EDIT: IW is on Netflix. I have all the Marvel movies and the 3D editions where they exist. I'm one of the one offs that likes 3D.

I've binge watched them all four times since Ragnarok came out, and I will usually do release order except with Dr Strange and GOTG2 moved before Civil War and Ragnarok and Black Panther switched.

As some films overlap and some are spread over longer time periods I tend to try and go for when the main confrontation in the movie happens .... That's why I put TIH after Thor because the Hulk's battle with Abomination happens later in the week than Thor's battle with Loki on the Bifrost bridge.

In the next two weeks I need to watch Captain Marvel to finish off my binewatch. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do that? Look for a theater still playing it? Will it be on Redbox?

That makes sense. When it is close I usually go with what films will segue best.

Speaking of which, my marathon continued over the last few days with Avengers > IM3 > T:TDW > GotG > GotG2, but I was thinking this morning the more satisfying order is probably Avengers > T:TDW > GotG > GotG2 > IM3 and then roll into Winter Soldier.

I just started today, so I'll be skipping over some. I started with Iron Man, Thor, and watching The Avengers now. I'll try to do next: Guardians, Guardians 2, The Winter Solider (that's a must), Civil War, and finishing Infinity War next Friday night. We'll see if I can fit in any others before/after CW before IW. The Avengers 4K blu-ray looks awesome on my LG OLED!

Started this morning with The First Avenger, sitting in the cinema right now waiting for Captain Marvel to start. It’s amazing how well the first Cap holds up, just a solid film.

I'm watching Avengers, Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron, Civil War, Ragnarok and Infinity War.

I'm trying to squeeze in all of Phase 3 this week, but it's gonna be close. Doctor Strange has a couple time-skips so I'm splitting that into three sections so I can watch it along with the others the same day.

Every time a new Avengers movie comes out we gotta watch them all again. I expect this will be the last time I do this, as there are simply too many now.
