The Dark Knight Predictions on how TDK will end

well i read on cnn i think that they wont change anything to this movie soo it will end like its suppose to hopefully they ended it good to leave it open for a third movie without any confusion

Hospital Room
Gordon and Bruce took Harvey to the hospital where the doctors did the best they could do to repair him.
Gordon - "Harvey can you hear me?"
Dent - "yes Commissioner"
Dent - "Where is Rachel? Is she safe Is she alright?"
Gordon - "It seems in your anger you killed her.."
Dent - "I couldn't have, she was alive! I FELT IT!"
(Dent grunts and gets out of bed making weird grunting noises)
Dent - NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

HAHA!! Good one!! I was laughing after I read that. Let's call it "Darth Dent"! lol!

This may work:

Joker seems to be dead but nobody found his body (pretty similar to BB, but okay...).
Then after Bruce und Alfred returned to the new Wayne Manor and everything looks like a happy ending there is another scene.
A few days/weeks/months later Gordon is visiting the scene of a crime.
"What happened?" he's asking an officer. "Well it looks like he l... , like he l... - just take a look".
Then you see a dead guy lying on the ground with his eyes really wide open and a biiiig grin on his greyish-white face.

People in the audience are whispering: "Joker gas..." and they all know:
The Joker is not dead. He's still alive and is worse than ever before.:hehe:

...meh. something similar maybe, but im sure it'll end with him in arkham

If we would get a bleached Joker than it could be something like the beginning of TKJ.
After all that chaos Batman wants to talk the Joker and then realizes that he is talking to a fake. "Wherrrre is he?" You hear Joker's laughter in the background. The end.
Would be a nice postcredit scene, too.

@ActuallyRobin:

That's the way how the Joker will get permawhite in this movie.
This stuff is so sticky. He just can't remove it.

The best and ONLY way to end it is with Gordon and Batman on the rooftop again.

Discussing whats happend etc...losing Harvey, Rachel etc...

and Gordon talks about escalation...same as teh first film..but instead of Batman being th source of escalation resulting in the Joker....Its now how the JOKER is the cause of more escalationn....hes inspiring criminals. Woudl be a nice riff on the end of teh first film...albeit a much darker feel. That maybe Gotham is lost and Batman and Gordans quest isnt anywhere near being finished.

OR

You end it with the Date with Selina Kyle.

Start it with Gordon telling Batman on a roof that you need more then just this ( being a vigilante ) ...have it echo Alfred syaing the same thing ( you cant JUST be Batman ) And we end on a blind date with Bruce Wayne....and Selina Kyle. ....who is played by either MEgan Fox or Angelina Jolie.

and remeber Jolie was filming Wanted IN Chicago when TDK was....

a nerd can dream cant he ?

;)

You have no idea lol

How about Gordon informs Bats that Dent is becoming a dangerous and recently killed a family of Circus Perfomers and that the only survivor was a boy named Dick Grayson.
And Batman says he will look into it.

This is just an idea, not in order but I can feel it coming.....

Gordon smashing the batsignal in front of the press to show nobody trust batman anymore !! Dramatic close up on Gordon's face under the rain feeling Batman is out there, observing them !

Shot of Batman not so far away from the scene, looking at the GCPD building !!

Later on, a discussion between Alfred and Bruce, Wayne saying he might be able to go beyond Batman and live his life:

-With who sir ??

-Well....she remains mysterious, you see, I only have her name !

-Which is ????

-Kyle, Selina Kyle !

-Charming !!

By the way, any news from the front outside ?? How's the manor ??

-Oh there are just some things to clean up but... this will be up to your specifications sir !

-Very well !

No offense, but I am glad Chris and Jonah wrote the screenplay....

I think the Dark Knight should end in complete chaos. My ideal ending will go like this. Rachel would be the first victim of the expirimental Joker gas, have her killed in such a terrific and horrible way that Batman beats Joker almost to death. He is only stopped by Gordon's pleas and Gordon says if he kills the Joker he will not be able to work with him anymore, pointing out that killing the Joker will mean that the Joker wins and Batman becomes just like him. The Joker is transported to Arkham. Two Face is on the loose now and the city is again in chaos. In the third Two Face is a mob boss (I read this idea from someone else) and his mission is to achieve what Maroni did, that if he can't stop the mob he can at least achieve a kind of monarchy that will keep them from again descending in to chaos. He also uses his newfound power to kill corrupt cops and officials, at least those he thinks to be corrupt. On the other hand Batman is now more of a vigilante than a hero. Rachel's death has really affected him and he has now become a sadist and bears no hope for the city, he beats up criminals almost to death and he and Gordon slowly become estranged and angry at each other. Two Face blames Batman for Rachel's death and for not killing the Joker before. He is now in a massive mob war for control of the city against another mob boss named Rupert Thorne. They are being supplies by an arms dealer who uses a club as a front named Oswald Cobblepot. In the middle of all this is a cat burglar who wears a skin tight outfit. In short, its a complicated plot but one that I think could work. Catwoman would bring back the humanity in Bruce but in the end he will pick Batman over a relationship with her and tell Selina if she ever comes back to Gotham he will arrest her. She leaves Gotham but they both have looks on their faces that say they both know she will be back and each knows that the other knows.

I'm feeling that way about all of these suggestions, particuarly with the X-Men 3-style cliffhangers.

Joker commiting suicide in the Asylum perhaps? Since I don't think he's going to be in the third film, it would make logical sense for a sociopath killer to kill themselves?

How did I fail??? I simply said that since Heath died, the Joker most likely would as well.

That makes absolutely no sense. The actor dies so they rewrite the ending of the movie and film it....

wait, theres something wrong here.

you.

It's already been established that Heath finished all of his scenes before his death, and that Nolan's priority is to finish the film the way he'd originally intended, ergo, Heath's passing will not affect the outcome of the film. I also don't think suicide is characteristic of the Joker. I hope that IF they do a third film, the Joker won't be so much as mentioned.

I just want an awesome ending that no one will expect

You don't have to kill Joker for a third movie. Just make a cameo in a third movie of a bank heist with the goon masks. Then show the grumpy mask doing something Jokerish and it could easily be implied that Joker is back.
