The Dark Knight Predictions on how TDK will end

While the Joker certainly is enough villain to hold up a whole film, it seems as though Nolan likes the multiple-villain angle. Despite Dent being "good" for a good portion of TDK (I'm assuming), we're still seeing a villainous story arc here. We also have Maroni, and though he's not a major "rogue," he's still rather well-known by a majority of Batfans.

BB had, of course, had the trio of Ras, Scarecrow, and Falcone (and on a minor note, even Zasz!), and so I think any potential third film would add some more rogues into the mix in addition to Two-Face.

My guess is that Two-Face is the major villain in part three, with one or two other villains filling in the empty spaces - perhaps the Riddler, perhaps Catwoman, or maybe someone else altogether. I think the Penguin would be an excellent choice for Nolan's Gotham, but he himself said the he was too "unrealistic" - I have no idea why, but I guess that means we won't see Cobblepot.

As for the Joker, I don't think he'll be recast - either he'll be "missing" and presumed on the loose, or locked in Arkham with one or two references. In either case, I'd love for the trilogy to end with a Joker card, as others have mentioned, suggesting Joker is up to his old tricks again.

I havent seen a thread on this topic, so I just wanted to bring it up.

How do you guys think The Dark Knight will end? Simple as that. My prediction is: Joker will scar two-face (dont know the reason), then two-face kills joker out of revenge. The only reason why I want joker to die is because I dont want another actor replacing him in the third movie. I know, I know, everyone is gonna say, "But Joker is too big of a character to kill off!" :whatever: But come on people, I mean do you really want some other actor stepping in heath's clown shoes? I just feel that joker is too big of a character to be replaced by someone else
Not to speak ill of the dead, but It's precisely because The Joker is such a notable character that I don't think he should be limited to just one actor. So I think it would be a tough but necessary decision to recast, if that was the plan to keep the character going, which I don't see why they'd go the killing route again.

The card with the question mark would be too similar to the ending of Batman Begins. If you want to hint at the Riddler I think Batman and Gordon investigating a dead body with a particular trap and a question mark on the victims head would be a nice ending.

ohh I hope that doesn't happen.

If they really wanna pull a huge shocker, instead of it being a throwaway mention by Alfred, actually have Selina show up in front of Bruce and introduce herself.

Now imagine that, a well-kept production secret revealing one of the most popular rogues in Batman's history. I'd literally feel my heart melt if that happened, especially if Selina was drop-dead gorgeous.

Can you imagine, if they did do this, and actually casted a pretty "big" actress, but someone we never thought of (similar to heaths casting) and of course no one knew at all that she was cast as selina at all, that would be a huge shock to me.

If they introduce Selina what about something like this:

Alfred: "Sir, Ms Kyle has just arrived for dinner."

Then you see her from behind. Great bu... body, long black hair.
Cut to Bruce Wayne. He smiles. The End.

They could have done a scene like this without hiding a famous actress. They just needed a woman that looks hot from behind. (Vida Guerra?:woot:)
And we could discuss for three years or so to whom this great bu... body may belong.

I think the best way to show the riddler appearing is to have a picture of batman with a question mark drawn over it.

Dude! Why aren't you writing the screenplay?! :woot: Yeah we need a great bu... body for Selina

I'm sorry, but that's very cheesy. And what kind of intruduction is that? It's end of the movie and we even don't see her face?

Alfred: "Sir, Ms Isley, Gordon, Quinn and Montoya just arrived for orgy."

BB: What kind of introduction is that? It's the end of the movie and we don't even see a glimpse of Joker?? :oldrazz:

Besides, who needs to see the face if she has a bodacious body and nice ass. It'll keep the forums discussing for years on end, and that's something I'd be willing to take part of and ANALyze every bit. :cmad:

lol!!!! :grin::grin:

Oh come on, it's not the same. Dinner with Selina? Without reason or explanation when they've met?
It'd be understood that this dinner or date would be their first meeting. A blind set-up by Alfred, or what-have-you.

Hmm, maybe. But I just think it would be too similar to the first ending of BB.

Perhaps it could just be a riddle of some sort that gives the hint of the Riddler?

Not me. First of all, how could he get bleached the exact same colours he's already wearing? And second, he's already the Joker, so bleaching him would just be pointless, IMO.

You know, I have mixed feelings about it. There is part of me that agrees, he is already the Joker so he doesn't need a chemical bath. There is still a very nerdy part that would love to see him bleeched.

I don't see it happening the exact same colors. In Nolan's universe, his skin would turn white and hair a very light blond. He would still put on the eye make up, lip stick and hair dye. That is how Alex Ross describes his Joker depictions.

If something like that happened at the end, I would be fine, as long as the Joker has a long, hard laugh of the irony of it.

Actually on topic, however, I suspect we will get a set up for the next part of Batman's story...but why does everyone assume that it will be the next villain? It could easily be:

-the improved cave
-Bat computer
-Batwing/Batplane
-Bat Shark Repellent (kidding!)
-while not likely, an attempt to expand on the DC movie universe

What the Joker card represented wasn't just "JOKER IS IN THE NEXT PICTURE!" but the escallation. The stakes are rising, Batman is having an influence and isn't just going up against the mob, but up against a whole new breed of criminal. That is what this film is about, so the third needs to finish that story.

not sure why ppl think the bat cave wont be rebuilt near the start of this film... we see in teh trailer the suit rising up in a cage... and it was mentioned in the last film and he had to rebuild the house..... so i think we see the new cave aroudn the same time we see the new suit

Thats not the Batcave, thats a basement area either in Bruce's penthouse or in Wayne Enterprises, where he is temporarily keeping his equiptment. The Manor won't be in TDK.
