Can we watch The Thing?

What thing?

You know, the Thing!

Ah! You mean that thing(points to object)!

NO! The Thing thing!

...Oh I'm sorry, the movie!

Yes!(relief sigh)

I heard it was almost better than the one from 1982.

 THAT is the movie I wanted to watch!

^About how a Thing conversation would go with inspiration from the "Who's On First" video.

I wish I never heard of this. How long does it take to shoot a small film like this? This film is taking longer than Avatar.

Maybe they're taking their time with it to make it the best film possible?

:lmao:

Ya right.

 Filming wrapped back in late June/early July. They've been in post for a while now. It was only a 4 month shoot from what I've read.

Heisserer said there might be some news about the film during NY Comic Con in October. & apparently Clint from Moviehole read the script already. This is what he said about it when someone asked about it:

The script is good - in that it's not only loyal to the original but features a fair amount of intrigue and more so, gore.

:o

Awesome! We had a pretty awesome chat about The Thing prequel on SHSkype the other night!

How they'd make the prequel work and how the "thing" had a pretty cool origin.

[BLACKOUT]The Thing isn't the alien they find, but it infected the alien they found making it crash land on earth[/BLACKOUT] and how [BLACKOUT]Winstead's character is The Thing in the end.[/BLACKOUT]

That's interesting. If that last part turns out to be true, I hope I'll forget about it by the time the movie comes out. :funny: I'm excited for the prequel though despite how some people are already complaining about it going to suck.

I think it's gotten that Prequel curse. Which kind of sucks, seeing how I'm completely excited for this movie. This and the Alien prequel.

So I guess there is a 2 issue mini-comic from Dark Horse about The Thing.

Which I need to read. Now.

I guess it came out a long time ago. :awesome:

I still need to read it. Badly.

Interesting.

I love thinking of the possibilities for this movie! They're basically endless.

Thats what is great about the original film. Not only that but the ending alone is spectactular.

The since of paranoia and so many unanswered questions.

I hope this prequel doesn't give try to give too much info about the "thing" and take the mystery away from it.

Absolutely NOT going to read the spoilers. So, there are huge cool twists in store?

Pretty damn cool if you ask me.

Someone mentioned that the blonde figurine might be Kim Bubbs (Juliette)'s character.

Excitement! :awesome:
