I got this idea from attending the local "Star Wars Fan Day" a few days ago, where they gave away promo cards to get signed by the guests. These would ideally serve the same purpose. I made them completely in Photoshop, and here's the few I've done so far (including a closer look at the overall design). They're still in progress, and more will be added, but I wanted to get some general reactions first, especially since Laura Vandervoort will be attending Wizard World Texas in a couple of weeks. Any thoughts?

(11/15/07 - Note: The "bigger preview" link for this image has been removed. The latest update includes every card so far, and another large preview link.)

Initial post updated; I look forward to your views!:)

Wait, so you designed those?

They look really cool. Of course you've got to get some more recent Welling pics, and some Ma and Pa Kent cards, but I like 'em.

Wait...only 3 Clark's, but 4 Chloe's?

I love looking at Allison Mack as much as the next guy, but the cards should be in proportion to the character's importance.

Definitely really well done work. Gotta give props for those. Good job.

The rest of them are still in progress. Don't worry; I got lots more planned. And thanks for the kudos; I appreciate it!:)

Well, if you really stop to think about it, Chloe has become almost as integral a part to the series as Clark himself. But from an artistic standpoint, it's just been a matter of finding colorful pics I thought could work.

Thanks to you as well, Parker. I'm glad you enjoy them!:)

cool idea, although the Welling and Kreuk cards are probably a waste...
To the best of my knowledge, every main cast member except Welling has done at least one convention appearance since the series began in 2001. I have a strong suspicion the appearances will be more frequent, once the show ends its current run.

I dont think either Welling or Kreuk have ever done a con. And I'm still pretty sure you'll have to chloroform them to get them into one even after Smallville ends, they just dont like the spotlight and I'm guessing they'll both move on to bigger things

I think Kristin attended SDCC a few years ago, with Allison Mack and John Glover. As for any of the cast's post-series careers, who knows?

Those are nice. I've met both John Schneider and Michael Rosenbaum at the Superman festival....I had them sign regular Smallville cards without the white space for the autograph.....these type would have been nice to have. Good job, and a nice thing to do for the fans.....thanks.

Met them in metro too, great people

Just so everyone is aware, even the larger preview does not contain the full-resolution images. Those will be distributed at a later date (probably once I get the majority of them finished).

I just wanted to thank you for working on it. There are a lot of you talented guys and girls here at the Hype....I appreciate it when you all do things like this to help out others.

Yep....both were real friendly and funny...Michael was hilarious.

MR was really funny during the Q&A. Remember when he mentioned the chick whose chest he signed? . . . That was Frantik ;)

JS was really great though, getting my pic with him at the last second was really cool of him

(Note: These represent my new template design, which will be retained for the remainder of the cards. As such, the versions seen on October 30th have since been replaced.)

And for the record, these are fantastic!

OK, here is another preview. This is every card done for the set so far, with the exception of a Christopher Reeve tribute card (still working on it). You can find a bigger preview at this link. Be aware though, that as before, even the bigger shot does not include the full-resolution versions. I haven't fully worked out a sharing plan yet.

I caouldn't find any pics of them; besides, Pete's in there, so pipe down.:D

These are great Moviefan.

I wish I'd get a chance to use a few of them one day - especially the Tom and or Kristin ones. Fat chance of that happening though.
