i want that shirt RIGHT NOW!!Michael Bay was wearing a very cool t-shirt that said "Giant ****ing Robots Are Coming" on the front and an Autobot logo on the back, truly a must have.
dude......thats A WHOLE 4MONTHS AWAY!!!CherryRedSpider said:That's good news about the full trailer coming during the holidays....
CherryRedSpider said:Do they really have to call us Transfans? That can be so easily misconstrued for something totally different.
That's good news about the full trailer coming during the holidays. Fingers crossed...
Shia L. said:Shia said it best when referring to the animated movie "That was my ****" and promises that "we have never seen anything like this" and that this movie will stay true to the Transformers that we all have loved for the last 25 years.

Bingo. If all goes well sometime this holiday season and producer Don Murphy hopes that we will get to hear Optimus Prime, see some robot on robot carnage, hear the traditional transforming noise and at least a nod to the original More Than Meets The Eye theme that we all have sung at one time or another.

I've seen several of these on the roads, none of which were being driven by chics. However, it's a bit odd, because this car is SMALLER than the Camaro that Bumblebee transforms into. It's a little bit bigger than a Mazda Miata.CFlash said:Isn't that a lame chic car?
I dunno, I'm just asking.
Based on that picture I think that alt-mode should have been given to Bumblebee and Jazz should have been the Camaro. Seems more faithful.

CFlash said:OK. Good to know.
I was just asking because the rationale folks have used to justify Bumblebee being a Camaro is that Spike wouldn't have wanted a "chic car" (um, like he would have begged for an old Beetle in 1984--- NOT!).
So, it begs the question: why couldn't BB be this car and Jazz the larger Camaro? I would have been so OK with that. This just reinforces the idea that this movie is just a random messy plug for GM.
OK. As for why they didn't make Bumblebee the Solstice, Spike can't afford the damn thing!! He buys Bumblebee (in beat up '70s Camaro mode) for $4000!! Can anyone name another car in GM's line-up that has, not only, an older version that a 16 year-old boy with $4000 would buy, but also a sweet new design that a 16 year-old boy would love to have. Now, since GM provided all the other vehicles for the Autobots, the Solstice in the only likely choice for Jazz, well either that or a Corvette or Cadillac XLR. Remember, Jazz was a Porsche, quite exotic, and the Solstice is deffinatly the most exotic looking car in GM's product line.
nosebleed said:pretty good explanation.
CFlash said:Yeah it was but...
Allow me to retort:
The Solstice is beat-up, barely drives... and is freakin possessed!... the owner just wants to get rid of it as the random radio coming on is driving him crazy and he can't seem to fix it.
Imagine him as some nervous guy who's gone through a nervous breakdown (literary foreshadowing).
Spike/Sam has to practically push it off the guys property. But, he's confident he can "fix it up."
A 4-cyl Solstice is totally Bumblebee. Not a 6-cyl muscle car hot-rod.
And, Jazz ain't a little bot.
Say what you want about "adapting" this story... but this just a plain idiotic and completely unfaithful decision by the writers.
How old are you, CFlash?CFlash said:(um, like he would have begged for an old Beetle in 1984--- NOT!).

Ok, so we're about the same age then. My father owned a Bug, and I loved it. But, by the time I was 16, not cool anymore. And you actually made my point for me.CFlash said:I was about 8 or 9 when I got my first Transformer (one of the cassettes) almost a year before they were actually called "Transformers."
A Bug was never a car I nor any kid I knew coveted. Knight-Rider, Back to the Future's Delorean.... maybe.
That's what made Bumblebee charming.... because in spite of everything, he was the heart (in many ways) of the Autobots.... who as a whole were severely outgunned by the Decepticons (on Earth and on Cybertron).
But, enough nostalgic corniness. <sarcasm>A Camaro is cool... *drool*... yaayyyy. And Jazz was an idiot... he deserved to be taken down a few notches.</sarcasm>![]()
If you've read the script, he is still that character. He may be a different car, but he's still the same character.because in spite of everything, he was the heart (in many ways) of the Autobots.... who as a whole were severely outgunned by the Decepticons (on Earth and on Cybertron).

but hobits are another species as wizards...CFlash said:But you see- to me at least- it's like making Frodo taller than Gandolf and still saying he's the same character.
Switching Jazz's and Bumblebee's likenesses just seems wholely unecessary to me.
