themovieblog.com has posted notes from there visit on the set of Transformers, Theres a lot more info then what we read on the previews. You can read about it here

This is all great information. I love how they addressed the fanboys.
- I was able to grab one of the producers later and asked him privately how he felt about the fan reaction. His response was "It's like a child who throws a tantrum because he thinks he's getting something he won't like on Christmas... but I'm the parent who knows that when they open that box they're going to be blown away".

- The producers said Hasbro had final say on all the character designs. I HATE that.

Murphy's quote is very similar to the rantings of Dean Devlin during the making of Godzilla 98. But, I hope he's right.

why must there be a love story in everything.... blah

Why no love story?? Did all of you forget about Daniel?? He's gotta come from somewhere.

Im glad someone said its not about the humans. Hopefully thats what we get in the final product.

yep confirmed my theory new toy line blah blah blah :(

- There is a love story in the movie. I HATE that. Love story = screen time taken away from Autobots and Decepticons kicking the crap out of each other. That's stupid. I know they're trying to appeal more to women... but come on.

Hmmm...unnecessary love story? Pearl Harbor anyone?

- None of the producers seemed at all concerned at any of the negative fan reaction to the images.

translates to they don't give a damn...great.

- Josh Duhamel (The star of the TV show Las Vagas) said the best quote of the day as far as I'm concerned: "Make no mistake, this is the Robot's movie... not ours"

The only real positive news from this story.

Anyone suprised that there will not be any human casualties?... that actually pisses me off.

Must have been Murphy

"Michael Bay had a great T-Shirt on. On the back of it was an Autobot symbol... and on the front were the words "GIANT ****ING ROBOTS ARE COMING". I really want one of these shirts."

Also like the confirmation the fight is in LA and the dam

"
- There were areas of the street that were made up to look as if something big had popped out from under the pavement. Giant mounds of pavement with wrecked cars on top of them."

Must be when the autobots arrive. I was hoping they changed it from the WOTWish thing

"- Don Murphy said the original idea was to do a G.I. Joe movie... but then the US invaded Iraq and they scrapped the idea. Hasbro then approached him with the Transformers idea."

Ah so he's responsible for that script. Such a travesty that piece of **** was.

"- Don Murphy told me "We'd be crazy not to get Frank (The original voice of Megatron) back for this". But the decision isn't his."

BS or sincere? Probably actually sincere.

Tells me they're going for something Bay has never made, a PG rating.

There's human casualities. Look at the update on the bottom of the page. And there's plenty in the script.

Any idea where I could find that script??

Not really. There's a review on latino review though. After you read it...you probably won't care anymore.

Good. I thought Bay was going soft for a minute.

tis a great day today:up: :)

Yeah nice info, tho I didn't like the arrogant dismissal of fan complaints. You know sometimes they are right.:)

Transformers = ID4

Well...that's a 75 million dollar movie that made over 300 mil domestic. I wouldn't mind that kind of box office...it would guarantee it a sequel or two.

I meant story wise, but... point well taken

Has the budget for Transformers even been mentioned yet? I am curious of how much money Bay has to blow things up with.

A script that has likely been revised over a dozen times by now.

i read it wasnt that bad with some tweaking can be really good, but by some of the scenes we have seen shot were in the script
