Transformers Prime Speaks is up!!

Ok. So i had an idea. I rolled the poster up to just smaller that the speaker put it against the speaker then played the clip and listened through the poster. It sounds just like Prime!!!! That cheap and ridiculous but effective none the less!!!

Do you think he sounds like that when he orders his coffee with "a little suger, and a lot of cream".

Why not? James Earl Jones sounds like Darth Vader all the time, minus the breathing.

Unless of course that place you hear him at is at the top of three flights of stairs...then I think he would sound just like darth vader, breathing and all... :yay:

Well, it works or not depending on the lines themselves... Even Laurence Olivier couldn´t deliver a line as cheesy as "it´s prime-time!", but "they should learn from their own mistakes, not ours" and "there´s a thin line between being a hero and being a memory" are good ones and they´re well-delivered.

I actually thought of a couple of lines for Optimus, now I regret I didn´t send them in time... one was "we brought our war to their world, we´re equally responsible for any victims the Decepticons make", and "A machine can transform at the blink of an eye... a soul takes much longer".

Semanitcs, That infers that he would as optimus prime. they wouldn't have had him read them so dramaticly if it was suppose to be "Peter Cullen" reading the lines. Do you think he sounds like that when he orders his coffee with "a little suger, and a lot of cream".
He should!

I really wish I sent in the line I had, ****ing internet was screwy all day and I forgot:(

"there´s a thin line between being a hero and being a memory"

That was the best.

BTW, the line I sent was "Transformers... up, up and away, cause it's clobberin' time!". I wonder why it was left out.

Cullen sounds OK. He sounds like Prime. This is what everybody wanted. I am sure they'll use some effects with his voice. It's the terrible lines that I worry about. I hope to God that "It's Prime Time!" isn't in the movie.

Wow...they should have gone with Gary Chalk.

I mean come on Cullen, if you can say 'Believe it!' in a Naruto promo (which, for the record, I am a supporter of 'Believe it!') then you can at least put some friggin' energy into these things. I'm only scolding you because...well, you do some promos for Toonami, and you're my senpai of sorts.

To be honest, Cullen did less then what, 100 episodes as Prime, right? Chalk's done far more, I think he deserved the role more, if anything, but then again, my opinion does not matter here, does it?

EDIT: It's like Spider-Man, of sorts. With Great Voice Comes Great Responsibility!

EDIT 2: Fixed spelling error in my last edit.

I actually don't like Chalk. He doesn't have enough strength or edge behind his voice. He's not as convincing as a leader. Even when he's given good lines.

Between Bays cutting style and Primes movie announcer voice, this really will be like a 2 hour trailer.

Nah, those aren't lines from the movie, it's just some stupid contest.

Geez, some of you fanboys are predictable. When one things goes your way in a positive light, they always find something else to ***** about.

Everyone wanted Cullen, now after hearing Cullen do a couple of lines, they all get mad about him doing Prime now.

Make up your f'n minds!

Who's mad?
I haven't seen anyone hostile and pissed.
Opinions,yes.

People who didn't know G1 Optimus really can't relate to Cullen. I believe its these people who really don't care for his voice in those sound clips. But yeah, nice way of lumping everyone together.

I'm pretty sure I hear Cullen all the time doing commercials or announcements on like cartoon network or Nick (even nowadays... not just the old Toonami ones). He sounds awesome even today. I think people are just griping that those new recordings (like the slapped on voiceover at the end of the trailer) just sound.... um.... wack. HE himself doesn't sound bad. Just no effort was put into making them sound "professional."

^It would be great if that line would make it into the Movie.

true dat!

You know what I think alot of it is...I'm always used to seeing prime as a reference while he's speaking. You tend not to focus on the voice as much when you are watching prime kicking all forms of major a*#

Agreed, even before hearing him say it I thought that was the best of the lines. After hearing it though, it even sounds better then the rest.

Nice :)

Theres a thin line between being a Hero and being a memory

This world should learn from its own mistakes, not ours

Those were the best I thought.

Only reason I'll go see this film is to see Prime, that trailer really didnt strike me as something worth spending the money to go see.

But seeing Prime in that trailer for just a few seconds - was VERY awesome!

I hope Bay doesnt f***k up Optimus in this film.

Optimus Prime in the old cartoons when I was a tiny youth, was just always positive, inspiring to see and entertaining to watch on that old television set - haha

he's a highly advanced alien robot. so he can sound however he wants to sound. and apparently he chooses a voice like that of Optimus from the cartoon. anyone who complains that is sounds too movie narrator-ish or not robotic enough ... why would Optimus not speak perfect english? he has to be advanced enough where he wouldn'thave to have synthesizers in his voice.
