Prison Break: Fox's new groundbreaking series

This is a great show, almost right up there with 24, IMO. :up:
 
I missed the first episode, so i'm lost on one thing. The star of the show gets his toe cut off, by some other guy (mafia type guy) -don't know their names yet- so what is the connection between the main star (the little brother of the dude on death row)- and the guy the mob guy is after? I know it's some guy that's sopposed to testifiy against his family-or something....hope this makes sense guys-i'm in school!

Michael (the main character) needs Abruzzi (the mafia-type guy) when he gets out because the guy has resources. Now Michael needs some leverage against Abruzzi to get that help so somehow Michael found out where Fibonacci, a mob informant, is hiding, but he says he won't give Abruzzi the information until they're out of the walls.
So there's no true connection other than Michael just needs to guy as part of his escape plan.

Micheal need the mafia guy John Abruzzi to get him a new id for Linc and himself. Mike has information on a snitch that Abruzzi needs to save his kids. The older brother was framed for killing the vice president's brother. So Mike is going to break him out.
 
Thanks guys! Next weeks episode looks pretty cool. I'm a die hard '24' fan and i think this show is ranking close to (but not quite) as addictive as 24 is. I can't see how this show will be more than one season long-it seems like a bit much to drag out this whole 'escape' plot longer than 1 season....but we'll see.
 
well, some of the promos have said "escape is only the beginning" so I don't think the whole season is gonna focus on the escape... I think it's going to focus more on the conspiracy/coverup

from the looks of the previews, looks like Michael's gonna break out a lot sooner than i, or anybody else, thought ...

and who else hates those Secret service agents, especially the one calling the shots most of the time !? :mad:

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But I think something else is up, I don't think he's trying to break out just yet...
 
The woman pulling the string is one tough *****.
 
What a great ep. Can't wait to see what happens in the next one.
 
Enjoy next week's show since I believe all Fox shows take a two week break for MLB Playoffs after it. Boo-urns.

Anyway, the season only has 13 episodes and that was episode 6. So 7 will be the conlcusion which leaves 6 more until the Prison Break might actually happen. Fox hasn't mentioned about extending the season or even when the episodes might air. It would suck to wait another 9 months until the second season. House and 24 are supposed to air on Mondays starting in January then there is also American Idol taking some timeslot space.
 
Dammit! i missed monday's episode! can someone give a quick run down of what happened?
 
F**k American Idol and although I've heard 24 is really good, I haven't seen it so I couldn't care less... they should extend Prison Break's season because this show is AWESOME. Last night's cliffhanger might damn well be the best "to be continued" moment I've EVER seen on TV.

The short of it...

Michael breaks the AC in the prison making it very hot for all the inmates which leads to a riot...things are out of control as the guards try to contain the riot. The prisoners in sickbay hear of the riot and take out the one guard in there and go after the doctor...she locks herself in another room and that's where she remains at the end of the episode.
T-bag, the guy who caused the riot, takes a guard he helped beat up into Michael and Sucre's cell and accidentally finds the escape hole they have in there. Before he can tell anyone what he found, Abruzzi grabs him and tells him he can't say anything. Sucre and Michael come out of the hole and find Abruzzi there with T-Bag and the injured guard... of course T-Bag wants to included in the escape or else he'll yell out what he found... then of course you got the problem with the guard there.

Also, Michael finds out that Sara, the doctor is in trouble and is on his way to help her at the end of the episode.

I love this show, this is my favorite new show this season... and I agree, this last episode was a great cliffhanger
 
No, it ended right at the peak of the riot it seemed.

You should see 24, they've had dozens of better cliffhangers. (and last night's was great)
 
Yeah, 24 has a cliffhanger practically at the end of every episode.

The writing and editing on that show is unbelievable.
 
This show is addictive, problem is I have class from 6:30 to 9:30pm on Mondays, so every Monday I work my ass off to get out early to catch it. Deffinately worth the work though. :up:
 
I like the tension and the pace of the series. I know a lot of people didn't give the show a chance cause they thought it was "Slow"....but with each episode...the **** has been hitting the fan larger and larger.

If they continue the show after the Prision Break...I wonder if I'll still like it....cause I love the stuff in the Prison the best
 
I saw the first episode. It was pretty damn good. But it conflicts with Monday Night Raw for me, so I stopped watching it.
 
The riot's ended for now. Poor CO. Damn that T-Bag! He must die and I have a feeling that Abruzzi or Lincoln might have a hand in it. 3 weeks until the next episode...damn that's a long time. But in time for my birthday!:)
