Prison Break: Fox's new groundbreaking series

At Prison break's website they have a PDF that teaches you to make them.

Bit late to the show but love it. Its a shame its on fox, I don't trust them to not **** up as they always end up doing.

I respectfully and totally disagree, this is one of the best shows on TV. Although they could have written the door scene a little better, how would they have tied in the Doc? It was poignant writing most likely for future episodes that tie her in. I'm sure on 24 there are moments where it's like ok, no, but you enjoy the show for what it is, an escape from reality. The scene where Michael's "wife" brings him the keys is a total farce, after every visit inmates are stripped and searched, no way he's sneaking in those keys. I know this for a fact(hey living in NY, you're gonna know somebody that's locked up). I choose to suspend my belief for the greater good of the show.

With regards to the door, the prisoners mentioned it was alarmed as I recall. So simply smashing it would have given them away. Also, the door was reinforced as we know from the time those inmates were trying to smash it open to rape her. Took them ages to get through and time was an issue. The hose thing wouldn't work as they had nothing to tie it around save the handle which would only break the handle. And I don't think locks break if you just break the handle, besides the hose thing would require them to set it up twice which would take ages getting the lift and everything back in place. The alarm would still go off regardless. As for lockpicking, they would need some actual lockpicking tools as some wire ain't gonna cut it.

The thing that logically bothered me more than most was the guy from Justice being shot in the back, losing a lot of blood yet running around like a dandy barely a week later. If that, considering how little time was left. Plus they said he was having surgery which means weeks of recovery time. And your shoulder blade and such should be broken from the impact damage, especially at such short range even with the silencer.

I think there are a lot of places this show can go and I love the fact they actually answer their questions and keep the episodes all tied together, not assuming the viewer is an idiot.

- I don't think they should kill the doctor, if Abruzzi can come back from having a major artiry in his neck cut then she should be good. She is one of the more forgiving characters and there aren't many in the show. Plus she is hot and you got to have something for Michael to strife for. Hopefully Michael can maybe take her from the hospital.

- The fat hurley kinda guy, Michael being the guy that he is couldn't have that on his conscious... I think he'll try and help him somehow.

- The Company conspiracy is just starting to heat up, with the brother being found they have physical evidence to present.

- LJ need's to get free and have his name cleared.

- They know the name of the secret service agent, if I was LJ's dad... I would want to cut his head off. Not to mention he tried to kill Lincoln directly.

- The dad has his own story to expose. I assume he turns up in a van to drive the prisoners to freedom. He would be the man to know how to hide after managing to avoid the company for so long.

- Each prisoner has their own story to resolve with their loved one's. Michael need's to see the daughter as well... oooh, maybe she is at the same hospital Sara end's up at. That'd be good, probably how he ends up finding out about her too.

- Michael and the gang are probably going to end up enemies of the mob, well they are sort of already so thats another threat.

I hope we don't keep coming back to the prison just to try and keep tabs with the characters they introduced there. Couldn't give a damn about Pope or Bellick really.

Good thoeries. My point about the whole show was just suspension of belief, we watch shows to escape reality, overlook things we'd normally say "yeah Right" to. Have fun and enjoy, this show always has me on the edge of my seat.

They should all be shot. There's no way they would ever manage to escape from the position they're currently in in real life.

The thing that got me about the series (last episodes on tonight in the UK) is that ONE thing and one thing alone is a key part of the plot and i have no idea how michale planned it...

Popes building project for his wife, this was his plan to get out of the popes office onto the roof to see where the police were coming from, and taking out the support so he can kidnap the pope when he went back to fix it.
How the hell did he foresee this?

On another note, T-Bag has to be up for some sort of award next year for this role, I love to hate him!!

Happy 900 posts to me.

Yeah, T-Bag is awesome. Definitely the best character, just because he's so foul. I'd like to see him get a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the Emmys, though Gregory Itzin should win for playing President Logan in "24".

And here's hoping T-Bag is still around next season, with or without two hands...

Got the feeling he will be back. He will have two hands though. he is that fowl that he will probably keep the chopped off hand with him

Yeah, exactly... no one could goto such lengths to do such a task. Having your toe's cut off is a bit beyond the pale, I doubt anyone would withold information after that. I think because the story is so complex and maybe at times convoluted with regards to the plan, the details get harder to define and limit. Basically the more elaborate you are in a lie (made up story), the easier it is to trip you up. And they have kept it pretty tight all things considered.

Gamma - Thats generally seen as a last resort though and normally people are not very good at shooting people, as in they don't want to. You don't want to be the guy who shot someone in the back no matter how it is often portrayed on action films or whatever.

Black dust - I don't think that was essential, he could have gone from his own room but the risk of being found out was greater. As the plan was simply to go missing for a period of time to raise the alarm while he watched, wasn't really that important where he went missing from as long as he could get back. This way I don't think he gets thrown into solitary while if he had did it another way he would have done. Took advantage of the opportunity in otherwords, although relying on the guard to not bother walking around the desk to check was a bit too clean.

Also, what really annoyed me as a cliche is when Veronica gets the better of the agent guy at the retreat and she simply runs off assuming he was knocked out. Like every other horror film. All she had to do was tie him up and they would have someone to charge with attempted murder and the dominoe's would start to fall. Or torture him for everything he knows.

True, I dont know how they are going to pull off the second series thing about the first was, you wanted to see what tatoos were going to do this week or what stage of the plan is put into motion, Wentworth miller said in a interview "The writters have more instore for the tatoos they still hold more to the escape" but i dont see how much more they can hold and how intresting they can keep it now that they are out.

The tatoos might have details about how to cross the border on foot, who to contact once in Mexico and details about other escape paths.

I was driving on the 405 here in LA and drove past a giant digital billboard looking over the freeway (that must be owned by Fox since it only advertises Fox films/shows) and it displayed Michael Scofield and Lincoln's mug shots and had "ESCAPED" stamped on the photo. And under the picture, on a large digital screen it flashed "ALERT!/Have you seen these fugitives?"

I couldn't help but think how awesome it looked. I'm really psyched to see Season 2 is already being promoted, especailly like that.

Well, season 2 starts up in just under a month and a half, August 21 is the season opener.

As for the Tatoos, it might have information about the conspiracy that Michael found out as well.

That sounds frickin sweet!!!

I don't think it's getting boring at all, although 2 seasons is enough. I willl be let down if they can't close it out by the end of this season.

i heard that since invasion was cancelled that william fichtner will be joining the cast as a warden chasing them next season. any truth to this?

He's going to play a secret service agent I believe.

yeah good choice. just too bad about invasion gettin' cancelled.

i think prison break is one of the best tv-series that i ever watched in my whole life. i liked lost very much. but thsi show was soooo good. i watched today the first episode of season two and i like some changes.

I'm kind of worried if this season will be as good as the first. Seems like too much of the stuff that made Prison Break great is lost in the whole getaway-plot.

Nevertheless I really enjoyed the first episode of the second season and I'm sure the writers will find a way to make it great. Definitely one of the best shows on tv.

Glad to see [blackout]T-Bag and Dr. Tancredi[/blackout] made it. :)

Ok, I've watched like an episode worth of a couple episodes, and to me, this show seems to be as good as Lost was in it's first season. I'm REALLY tempted to pick up the boxsets when I go back to uni (and I have a loverly extended over draft.. hurrah), but I just want to see if people think:
a) It's worth it.
b) that i'll like it.

For the record, I love character driven shows. I prefer the shows I watch to have an air of escapism, and some of the ones I enjoy are:
Lost, 24, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate and Farscape.
Now I know it won't be like the last three, but as long as the character development is quite strong and relationships develop and such, i'm pretty sure i'll dig it. What does everyone think of this show?
