Prison Break Season 4 Discussion

I'm willing to watch it, I'm just worried it will ruin my love for the series finale.

True, I suppose. Still, I wish Michael got some kind of reward...but I suppose life doesn't always reward the just. Hell, look at Veronica. Probably the most morally pure character on the show, and we all know what happened to her.

Speaking of season 1 and 2 characters, I wish we saw Warden Pope one last time.

Yeah I was hoping we would see Warden Pope giving a birthday gift to his wife.

Just finished watching the season four finale. Hadn't watched since the season premiere, kinda followed throughout the season. Couldn't watch, but was also going to see the series finale. Pretty good, the final montage was beautiful.

The first season was amazing. This is one of the few shows where I wouldn't mind if they remade it in 15 or 20 years. Take the concept of a breaking out a sibling by going to the same prison. Plan out the entire series so there are no stumbles like what happened with Prison Break.

i watched the final break...
michael didnt even get to enjoy his freedom...messed up and sad...these episodes were the first time i enjoyed gretchens character but the story was kind of a drag...
it was alright all in all

Do they explain why a UN official, who had enough power to get T-Bag off the hook, can't keep Sarah out of prison for killing the woman who tried to steal Scylla.?

they mention that she shouldnt be arrested cuz of kellerman but all they do is say that they have footage of her taking the shot at the innocent (scofields mothers cover was that shes a salesman for something) woman and killing her...but its not considered self defense because the camera only caught sarah so...yeah its ridiculous....

Saw The Final Break about a week ago..

They sure..

Set it up for yet another movie or such with not really showing Michael killed, or showing his body, obviously setting up the possibility should they wish to continue with this.

I think having Michael dying made the ending of this series much more memorable. If they had all walked off into the sunset, it would have been rather lame. It's like the final ep of Hbo's ROME, Vorenus' death made it something special....

Thanks for the spoiler...

I just watched this last night. F**k you, Fox, Brett Ratner and whoever else thought it was a brilliant idea to kill off Michael at the end of the show. I've put up with your ridiculous, convoluted, unrealistic plot twists for four years because, I HOPED that at the very least, we'd get a happy ending for the central characters. I mean seriously, is it SO hard to end a show on a good note? What the hell did killing the hero bring to the finale? This is Prison Break, not Six Feet Under. It was bad enough you brought back C-Note and Kellerman just to have that "Whoa, I never thought I'd see these guys again!" moment. No, you had to go one further and kill one of the only three characters I honestly gave a crap about anymore, while you let T-Bag (who should have been DEAD by now) survive. Fine, he's in prison, but that was one character who deserved a lot worse.

Maybe I'm in the minority here and other fans think that killing Michael was a stroke of genius. But as someone who stuck with this show instead of jumping ship last season like most of its audience, I feel like I just wasted a hell of a lot of time.

Feel exactly the same. It was like they just killed him off for the sake of shock factor. How I wish it went down:

Series finale plays out as it did (group visits grave site, etc).

Final Break:

Michael appears to have died.

Show Sarah watching video of Michael's message.

At this point we are lead to believe he is dead.

In reality...turns out he has faked his death to dissapear, have a quiet life, etc.

Flashback to group visiting grave...extend the scene to show that they are only there to make it appear as if Michael is actually dead.

Show Sarah watching video..pan over, she is watching it with Michael. He wraps it up with the same line...we are free.

I would have liked this better than what we got in Final Break.

And it never made any sense that Sarah was in prison at all. What was she even signing papers for if not that. Ehh. I guess logic doesn;t exist in Prison Break world so it doesn't matter.

that sounds...kinda wack IMO
the way i see it is...scofield did the impossible several times...and his luck ran out as it should...theres only so many times you can cheat death before it catches up to you...hes a hero in the end with a tragic death...nothing more heart breaking which was perfect for prison break...if nobody died in the end except the bad guys i think id feel cheated...i dont know why

Wentworth Miller will play a cop in the L&O SVU season opener.

So...what's going to replace Prison Break? Surely another action series?

Finally saw The Final Break. It actually doesn't ruin the great series finale. While Sarah's imprisonment is a bit contrived, the whole plot isn't bad. It seems they mostly dumped the spy and espionage stuff of the later seasons and went back to the show's root, a prison break. Sarah's imprisonment captured some of season 1's brutality well (especially her beating from the guards and the shower fight). Michael's death is as expected sad, and fortunately the end of the series is not cheapened by the movie. Though it happens off camera so I'm sure if the DVD sells well enough to warrant another DTV movie there will be some twist where Michael survived, was captured by The Company and is kept alive for some reason or another (after all, that shady FBI agent got into the room and then stopped pursuing Sarah and put up no chase. Was Michael the target?).

One plot hole that kinda bugged me is, Michael had an inoperable brain tumor, yes. But being as the UN got all of The Company's secrets, why not just try the experimental treatment again or chemo? Why give up all together? Hell, even if he was dying, aren't a few months with Sarah better than none? Why die like that, why not just bring a bloody pair of rubber gloves?

Never-the-less though, this was pretty decent. Not great, but at least it was entertaining while not destroying the great ending of the series.

Yea I finally watched all the episodes I had previously missed which were the bulks of seasons 2 and 3. I don't see why people ragged on season 3 so much for real. I actually really liked it. I needa go get season 4 bad though cuz I remember the night the episode where Bellick died I gotta phone call from an old friend and missed his death. I was absolutely pissed beyong words when I got online that nite and found out he died.

So I finished this last night on Netflix. It was a decent show, but like my friend told me, you can only do so much with it. I'm still up in the air about the ending. I would rank the seasons like this.

Season 1
Season 3 (Short but sweet)
Season 2
Season 4

All in all a decent show.
