I have a motorola razr. I just recently bought a memory card and put songs on my phone. Now, I want to be able to use headphones to listen to music. I bought a converter that plugs into the razr's power slot and then lets you plug ordinary headphones into the end.

I tried my headphones. Didn't work.

I thought maybe it was faulty so I tried another pair and another and another. Still didn't work.

Since I have my laptop plugged into my stereo system, I plugged my razr into my stereo system and the converter worked like a charm.

Does someone know something I don't? Why won't headphones work? I've tried over 10 different brands of headphones. Nothing works except my stereo system.

check the setting on your phone.
make sure on the volume menu to see if head set is set to enabled

Do you have a user manual that came with your phone, maybe you will find the answer in there. Maybe there is a certain button that you need to push on your phone etc like maybe you just need to turn up the volume. Take your phone back to were you got it & ask for assistance in figuring out the problem.
