Project Origin

Yes. Monolith stated that since they did not make the expansion pack games, they consider them non-canon. So they don't exist in this storyline. It's kind of confusing. LOL
 
Yea the story telling of using radios, and phone calls was hard to follow. They said that it was a REALLY poor choice to tell the story and would not do that again. On the 360 version, you can barely hear the radio/ messages. That always irritated me.
 
cant wait to play multiplayer, I play FEAR Combat multiplayer just about everyday
 
Yeah i would have never understood FEAR's storyline were it not for Wikipedia. So what is everyone here most excited about in regards to Project Origin? Personally i love a good horror infused FPS. This game looks freaky as hell so far.
 
I cannot wait for the insaine gun-fire-fights and the extreme horrific events that will scare the ***** out of me. I'm just behind this game 100% so far with everything they've said they changed. And hopefully everything will be near perfect with the delay... :)
 
So do you think the new Silent Hill will be worth a damn? It looks creepy.
 
I've actually never played one. Haven't had the guts to pick one up. I was cocky and poped condemned and my god I nearly shat myself 20 times in that game. I screamed twice, I've never screamed from a video game before until then. And I haven't tried condemned 2 blood shot yet...
 
Silent Hill games are creepy but the story is a clusterf**k. Condemned is one ive really wanted to check out.
 
The Silent Hill series is possibly my favorite. Condemned is pretty good, too, you should check it out.
 
Anyone know anything about the game Left 4 Dead? It looks cool but is it worth it if i'm not online?
 
Yea that game looks intense!! I think the single player should be pretty much amazing.
 
Hell yeah. I'm just not much of a multiplayer guy. I look for games with enriching single player experiences (something that is sorely lacking these days) Plus, like i said earlier, i'm a sucker for a good horror themed FPS.

Dude I'm totally 100% with you on that. Games today have let me down on the single player experience, such as Halo 2/3 which didn't offer much and weren't all that innovative. I love playing FPS because of how fast paced they are and you can just essentially "jump in." I don't play any multyplayer unless at a friends or w/e because I don't have live or PSN. The only game I played alot of multyplayer on was Call of Duty 1 on the PC. Fun times!
 
I was never really a big Silent Hill fan, dont get me wrong, I know they are some really good games, but its just one of those games I never really got into. FEAR IMO was great, had a good amount of horror, creepiness, badass gunfights and weapons. The multiplayer is fun as hell. Project Origin will be just as good

Another thing i'm looking forward too about Project Origin is the expanded list of enemies. I kind of got bored just being able to battle soldiers and mechs in the first one. Id love more enemies like the ones that could cloak themselves.
 
So what are your most anticipated games of the end of this year and into 2009?

Mine are Fable 2, Project Origin, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Bioshock 2, FF13, and possibly Darksiders: Wrath of War. God of War 3 will be included if i can afford a PS3 at somepoint.
 
Resistance 2, Mk vs Dc, Bioshock for PS3, Gears 2, Fallout 3, Batman: AA, Dead Space, PSP 3000
 
I thought I saw Holiday in the latest Project Origin trailer, which mustbe a direct slap in the face after him dying in the non-canon expansions.
 
it's official!!!!!!!!!! Project Origin is now called FEAR 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! They bought the name back. Don't believe me? Check the community site. I'm so happy!!!!
 
Yeah that is awesome. We even have a release date too. Feb. 10 2009.
