A year or two ago I remember hearing about this amazing-sounding cancelled game where you were some sort of agent on the run with this alien (who actually was revealed to be [BLACKOUT]a higher form of human evolution somehow come from the future[/BLACKOUT] later in the game). And how you interacted with the alien changed the way the game progressed. It's hard to explain. Anyway, I remember there was a demo video from it showing some scene in a diner.

Do any of you know what I'm talking about? :csad:

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I don't think it had a proper title, though its codename was "LMNO". It seemed really interesting, it's a shame it was cancelled. Too bad. :/

Here is a pretty good article on the game's development, why it got cancelled, etc.

Was it bad? I thought it seemed kind of cool.

The Spielberg games all fell through aside from "Boom Blox" or whatever that hell of an abomination was called.

Boom Blox was a lot of fun. One of the few 3rd party games for the Wii that wasn't just absolute garbage shovelware. Really utilized the technology well.

I'm only calling it an abomination because it was simply an unambitious, ordinary game design; especially considering it was branded with the Spielberg name.

It was reviewed rather positively, but it's gotta be hard to mess up an "Angry Birds in 3D" design document. It was a stream of resources that went to an ordinary, border-line mini-game that the Wii is so used to seeing, a game that no one will ever discuss again, and the much more ambitious LMNO went by the wayside.
