Prototype

Its not. At least in Missouri. They told me they have the game but can't sell it until tomorrow because technically today is the ship (release) date. Tomorrow is when it can actually be sold.

gamestop just told me to wait another 3 or 4 hours. they just lost a sale . i got my money back

That kind of seems fair. Infamous did have a Spiderman feel especially with all the jumping and climbing around. Havent played Prototype, but it seems to be more about destruction and rampages like Hulk

Yeah, that's what I've heard.

inFAMOUS has more parkour type stuff, your playing an agile character.

Whereas in Prototype...I hear that you can simply tear the living **** out of anything in your path, and just steam roll over everything.

More power than agile. Which makes the Spidey-Hulk comparison pretty fair to me.

i don't know about you but to me that doesn't look like the hulk game

Nobody is saying it's a Hulk game actually.

Just that since some are saying inFAMOUS and Prototype are the same game...that the difference in splits is if inFAMOUS was Spidey (which he's not) then Prototype would be Hulk to his Spidey.

I think it was just a way to spell out the difference between inFAMOUS and Prototype.

My understanding is that Alex is much more brutal, much more violent and just much more destructive than Cole is.

Yo Gamestop is slacking off big time. There was a slight delay of the shipment due to the weather so I had to pick my copy up at 5pm and then the gamestop i pre-ordered from only got 6 Alex Mercer figurines. So all i got was the game and the map which I'm not even going to use.I should've got my money back right there but oh well.I would've let them have it if they were this irresponsible with the release of Street Fighter 4.

God, still no review from IGN or Gamespot.

:cmad:

I'm guessing Activision decided not to seem out review copies, which means that a lot of review sites/mags will probably have to wait and get a copy off the shelf like the average consumer. Only other explanation is that there's a review embargo or something, but that surely would be lifted by the games ship date

The embargo is until 9 am pacific time Wednesday morning according to IGN. That's when they'll release their rview. I would assume it's the same for other major sites too.

They also said that it will be a review of the 360 version only since they didn't get review copies of the other versions

Wow, really? That's bizarre, embargoes are usually lifted on the day of the release or a few days to a week earlier. Strange move on Activisons part

6.5 Presentation
Very hit or miss. Some cutscenes are a confused joke, others are well-produced. The story isn't your standard fare, but that doesn't mean it is outstanding.

5.5 Graphics
If it weren't for some nice animations, this game wouldn't have anything going for it visually.

7.5 Sound
There's nothing exceptional going on here, but the sounds and music do their job. The voice acting is decent.

8.0 Gameplay
Toying around with the powers, consuming and crushing everything in your path, and generally playing with the world is fun. The mission design could be better and things do tend to get too chaotic.

6.5 Lasting Appeal
You can do just about everything in well under 20 hours. I didn’t find myself compelled to play for a second time at all.
7.5
Good OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

For those who have it.
Hows the replay value? I need a game to last me until Arkham Asylum comes out

Man, you can just look at this game and tell the replay value is going to be nonexistent. I can only smash things for so many hours

If its like Spiderman 2 where I can just roam the city for hours it prob can last me until the end of the summer.

**** that **** this game has replay-ability value out the wazoo. i got it and played for about an hour or 2 and its awesome i give it a 9 out of 10. and yes after about a mission or 2 ( just to get the feel of the game ) you get the option of free roaming. its like gta you have to find the glowing marker to activate a mission

if you are free roaming and start to go off the chain just for kicks the military will come and start to shoot you but its easily enough to ditch them when you can zip up walls and run like hell, and then when you buy the glide power its even easier to get away and wait out an alert.

well you collect these things called EVOLUTION POINTS.

i don't wanna spoil to much for you guys so you'll just see it tomorrow

in a nutshell the game is great and i can see crazy awesome potential in this franchise
