The easiest solution is just not buying it, especially if you own all of them already. Which I do

DMC2 is the only one I still haven't played. I think I'd do that just out of curiosity if I get the collection.
But all I hear about the game is bad, anyway.
I'm willing to bet the new DMC is a crapton worse than DMC 2... which, I find gets hated on more than it should. It was easy... yes, but that was about the only "issue" I had with it.
I dont think there beign a reboot means anything. They just released the Tomb Raider collection and its getting a reboot as wellI want to believe they will do that, but with this whole reboot thing, maybe they will want to stay away from the originals. I hope they do. It would be cool playing those games again ,but in HD this time.
Its only gotten rave reviews after the E3 trailer. The collection was released months ago, before we knew much about what the game would entail. The difference is that TR is, so far, getting rave reviews from critics and gamers. DMC is the complete opposite by miles.
Sony has crowned the engine used to for the PSP Remaster series - revealed last May - as the "PSP Engine", further detailing how it ports PSP games to PS3.
The company's Kentaro Suzuki revealed the tech at the Games Tools & Middleware Forum 2011 in Tokyo, explaining that the engine allows for:
- High-resolution rendering
- Dual analogue control support from the Dualshock 3/Six-axis controler
- 3D stereoscopic output
- Ad-hoc Party unification
- Main memory and graphic memory expansion
- Common save data
The PSP Remaster Series begins in Japan this year with the release of Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Version, with further PS3 ports of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and the handheld God of War titles also incoming.
Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase answered the inevitable question about HD remake of Final Fantasy titles on PS3. He said that if there is enough demands from players, the company would seriously consider it. It is more likely for HD remake of PS2/PSP Final Fantasy titles as all the HD collections so far are either PS2 or PSP titles.
All PS3s can play Silent Hill 1, so you should be good on thati'm only interested in the silent hill collection, its a shame it's only 2 and 3 i would love 1 and even 4.
i own all but the fact my ps3 fat died means i've lost my ability to play them.
i'm not keen on the rumors of redone soundtrack and voices

Im still surprised people still dont realize this. The PS3s are only non BC with PS2 games. PS1 functionality was never removed from the system. If you are sitting on a collection of titles, Id suggest you go try them outreally? i thought the new slim's had removed all backwards compatibility, i knew ps2 was removed but i thought it counted for ps1 discs as well
downloaded games is something seperate
