Please dont talk like that :csad:. Id be f**kin heartbroken if they didnt make a sequel, what I really want is a trilogy but for now I gotta hope for them at least making a sequel that surpasses the first movie which i loved.

Die.

Tom Jane lying > some guy who beats up women.

At the pace the movie is going i wouldn't count on it been released in '07.They don't even have a director plus you need some time to do pre-production, casting etc.I think Lions Gate main focuses now are sequels to Hostel & Saw and 3:10 to Yuma.

08 maybe? 09? 2010? Hmm I think by the time we launch a manned space mission to Europa, that will be the day the first villain in this film gets named.

Apparently avoiding bad movies.

That is a matter of opinion. And you opinion doesn't matter. :oldrazz:

So you're saying Hostel was a good movie?

There are so many great horror movies out there. Hostel is not one of them.

If I wanted to watch a movie about guys looking for sex, I'd buy a porno, but I'd probably pick up one that doesn't have any guys in it.

Yes, I liked Hostel a lot. I don't consider it a horror though. More like a graphic thriller.

After reading the plot idea for the second one on wikipedia, it sounds like it has more potential to be a better movie than the first.

Especially since this one doesn't have main characters who aren't embarking on some American Pie kind of adventure.

The best part about the first one was the eye ball scene and the end where he gets revenge.

From yesterday's Marvel earning call.

Did anyone listen to it?I was busy so i wasn't able to myself. Did they say anything else about the Punisher?

I posted the whole transcript in a separate thread in the marvel movies section. :)

why does it not say that there is a writer attached? Does this mean The Punisher 2 is only a spec script and not an assignment one?

Because Punisher 2 is a very screwed up unbalanced production that might not ever make it to the big screen with LGF running things. There's still no director, the writer is some ridiculous secret, and from what I've been told people are not happy about how things are turning out behind closed doors on all sides. Hopefully they'll figure it out and get their act together or LGF will just give the rights up to Marvel. You can make a film like Hostel and Saw with a low budget but to make a widely accepted awesome Punisher flick it needs the infusion of more than 33 million.

I like LGF for their horror movies, but I am really mad at how they are treating the Punisher. If they aren't going to do it, then let the rights revert back to Marvel, get a writer and director, let Tom Jane Produce and let's get the ball rolling. My only concern with all that is would Marvel do it if they got the rights back?

If they are going to do a Hulk remake already, I'm sure they'd do a Punisher movie.
