My electricity went out about 15 minutes before the end of the movie, when it popped back on, I looked at my dad.

Easily the worst marvel movie of all time. Pulpy, grimy, self-serious. It's like the digit IQ version of Nolan's Batman trilogy.

I saw it back in '08 and loved it. Then I rewatched some clips on YouTube and thought some of the dialogue was cringe-worthy.

I should go back and give it a second viewing.

Haha that's not entirely true, not every crappy movie has a "cult" following. I agree with the above statement...most of the time horrible movies are just forgotten with time.

Yeah obviously not "every" crappy movie gets a cult following. It has to be specially crappy or over the top in in some way...Like PWZ. As long as we don't confuse "cult following" with "good movie" I think we are all on the same page.

War Zone is as bad as cinema gets. It didn't know what it wanted to be and delivered equal parts cheese, stupidity and violence porn. Just awful.

If it wasn't for the Ghost Rider efforts, it would be hands down the worst Marvel character film of the modern era. Honestly, even Elektra and FF hit higher in my book.

The movie is downright terrible....terribly awesome! I've never laughed so hard at a movie in my entire life. Yes it sucks but it's so bad it's hugely entertaining.

There's one scene in particular that I find hilarious.

I personally like it only because of Ray Stevenson's portrayal of the Punisher. This is what I expect from Frank Castle in a movie. However, I will acknowledge that the movie is really bad. The poorly written story and the ridiculous villains just throw this into the toilet. I'm really just watching it for the action......

As good as Stevenson was as Castle, I think Jane was better & I'm still disappointed now he didn't ever get to reprise the role. The action in his movie needed a bit of an upgrade but he portrayed the pathos of the character better, that silent rage & that "I'm seeking revenge but I'm really on a mission to die."

Thomas Jane Punisher movie is the best in my opinion. I was shocked to see fans hating on it prior to the release of War Zone. War Zone is one of the worst comic book movies I ever seen. Its up there with Green Lantern in terms of terribleness.

I'm guessing some of it was fans *wanting* a zero dimensional "shooting people is awesome" vigilante movie. Hence why War Zone tried to be just that.

Another thing the 2004 movie has over PWZ is its humor. It actually works, but then again that's because the supporting cast was much better & the dialogue wasn't crappy.

As much as I love Dominic West, Kevin Nash was more memorable as the Russian and he only had one scene without even a single line. That right there says a lot.
