The series will purportedly be an extension of the science-fiction thriller, centered on people with paranormal powers who band together to take down a corrupt government agency.
[EDIT]
Screenwriter David Hayter, who penned "Watchmen" and two of the "X-Men" movies, will script the series pilot. E1 and Dark Hero Studios, co-owned by Hayter and producing partner Benedict Carver, will jointly produce the series based on the screenplay created by David Bourla for Summit.

I liked the movie enough that I would watch a show based on it. It's gotta be at least better than Heroes. :o

No, it certainly doesn't have to be better than Heroes. David Hayter might be able to forge something out of this Heroes-ripoff, but this is not superior fodder, imho.

The things that saved the movie for me, other than the psionic concepts being inventive and cleverly used was Djimon and Dakota, and seeing some old faves like Ming Na and Cliff Curtis. Without those aspects, I have no clue how this will even begin to fare. Will they reuse the same characters? Will they follow a different guy and all that?

The fact that David Hayter is backing AND writing, suggests he's really interested and will put everything he's got into it, and there's a chance we haven't seen his best yet, tbh. That's what gives this potential to me, at least for a good first season.

God! this movie was so awful..now a series

Well I meant that I don't think there is a way it could turn out to be worse than Heroes.

Make it a prequel & get Joel Gretsch to star in it. I highly doubt Chris Evans or that kid will do a TV Show

Awesome! I really enjoyed the movie...I always felt it would make a great series. :)

They'd have to try reallllly hard to make it worse than Heroes.

That show still makes me sad... boatloads of wasted potential. :csad:

this Heroes-ripoff,
Because Heroes created the idea of super powers and giving them to normal people.

Push >>>>>> the Push comic >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Heroes comics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> a steaming pile of dog excrement >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Heroes

It actually offends me that people still watch the show as if it's still the same show it used to be.

 my sister seems to be that way.

I told her it might be canned as if only was doing over 4 million viewers at the time (it dipped to under 4 mil this week) and she was like 'That's still a lot of people.'

When this show gets canned, I am LOL in her face. Like 'AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA :cmad: OWNED TO UR FACE!

The strength of your opinion aside, let's just start with the sticky copying -

People who tell the future by drawing it: check
Pursuit by an organization called Organization: check
Said organization employs powered-non-powered partnerships, including badass normal: check
Generational manipulation storyline unlike those featured in comics: check

And the stylistic similarities -
One-word title: check
Low-key special effects: check

And the general consensus that these things are so

I was constantly thinking: This is a re-written version of HEROES the movie. It was it's own thing, but it was clearly the same storyline, down being driven by the artist's visions. She even got drunk to do it better.

Push was a lot of fun, but I wouldn't take its story over the first or most recent season of Heroes. Lots of fun, but it had too many holes and too little closure to be ">>>>>>" to anything, much less ">>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>"
