Yes, based on the movie in theaters now. It's a Wildstorm comic so I figured I'd make the thread here.

It's only about 4 issues in and I really dig it. It's a bit hard learning all the classifications for people w/ powers but I recommend. Gotta check out the movie this weekend too.

The movie looks interesting enough, I guess. Sort of a sister movie to Jumper, which was a huge disappointment. But I like Evans, so I'll see it. I had heard there was a comic but I hadn't planned on reading it, but I'll make a decision after I see the movie.

Good solid film that was original for hollywood. I may check out the books in trade.

Idk how long the book is gonna go on, I'd love if it were an ongoing.

Yeah the classifications for the powers and the time period and backstory to how they came to the fore front of society is cool too.

I wish they'd make a choice between "changers" and "shifters" for the shapeshifters. And the wikipedia article says something about "Shadows". I've yet to see them, maybe they're in the movie.

Shadows are in the movie.

So is a "shifter", which isn't really a shape-shifter per say.

Yeah, according to wiki, shifters can rearrange objects' molecules and transform them temporarily. But or some reason, the term is used interchangeably with the shapeshifters.

Are Wipers in the movie? The memory erasers.

Yes.

Shifters can make paper look like money, that would be the difference between Shapeshifters and just Shifters. If Shapeshifters can change there whole body, shifters can only change objects.

The book is decent from what I've read so far (missed an issue), but the movie was not good.

I liked it, they just needed to focus on the story more and it needed to be what it was advertised to be, an action movie, but liked it.

I was pleased w/ the action scenes. That 1 Mover; Victor, was amazing! Deflecting bullets while simultaneously flinging guys around. Wow.

Yeah I think it would make a great TV show on like sci-fi or osmething. A place where they could delve further into it. I would love to see a sequel that dealt with movers or some others from the WW II era.

Maybe we will get it who knows, in anycase it was original and i enjoyed it.

Dunno how well it did in theaters

$18 million less than its reported budget. It needs a boost in theaters or good overseas numbers to help it out in the shortrun... but if that doesn't happen, it's going to need seriously good dvd sales.

It wasn't Shakespeare, but I had fun watching the movie. I might give the book a shot.
