Drama Pushing Daisies

I like this show, good to see it back.

As for Boston Legal, before he played Alan Shore, I always thought that James Spader was one of those actors, who whenever I saw him on screen, would always look creepy. Of course, that was before he was Alan Shore.

Is it possible to make love to this show?

I just watched the nine episodes of the first season in the last two days and I'm in love with this series.

I love it as well. I can't wait for the second season to start. I have told everyone I know to start watching it.

I've tried pulling the pud while watching episodes on my lap top....but it's just not the same. :(

Yay for Kristin Chenoweth!

That is all I have to contribute.

Eh, kind of. I like Chuck more, but on a purely physical level, yeah, Olive's more attractive.

Olive is quite 'meh' to me. Her face really puts me off.

I don't know, I bet she has a problem with her face, so she makes love like an ugly girl. Willing to please.

Emmy nom's for Kristin Chenoweth, Lee Pace, and Bryan Fuller.
No nom for best Comedy.
That is a stacked category though.

Awesome. I can see why it didn't get a best comedy nomination. It's kind of in a nebulous area between comedy and drama, like many USA shows. I consider Burn Notice funnier than most comedy shows, for example, but it's rightly considered more of a comedic drama. Same deal for Pushing Daisies, I think.

Yeah, I agree. I just want it to get more recognition. I really love this show.

Critics do too, so it's at least got some nominations after its first season. Other quirky, cult shows like Pushing Daisies have had to wait much longer for that kind of recognition, if they ever got it at all.

I smiled when Lee and Kristin got nominated.

Lee won't win, but at least he got nominated. He's in a tough category with Carrell, Sheen, Baldwin and Shalhoub.

I'm hoping Alec Baldwin wins it, actually. I love Pushing Daisies, but Baldwin essentially makes 30 Rock worth watching.

Okay I got a question for you guys as good as Pushing Daisies is, do you find the narrator really irritating? He never bothered me until the polygamy episode where he basically spelled out who killed the husband.

Nah, I like him. I don't even really look at the series as whodunnit episodes.

I like him (Jim Dale). My wife and I have all the Harry Potter books on CD and he narrates them as well, so I guess I'm just use to him.
