Drama Pushing Daisies

Drama films.
Nah, I like him. I don't even really look at the series as whodunnit episodes.

The character interactions are way more engaging the whodunnit aspect. I like how quirky all the cases are, but trying to figure out who the murderer is far from the highlight of the show.

i was just watching some episodes online and I was surprised how really good it was. That Kristin Chenoweth is hella cute.

Pushing Daisies is made of win.

Ellen Greene is made of win.

She should win best cyclops award.

Kinda makes me wish I had cable. Cheno + Ellen Greene = WTFtastic.

Great to see Ellen doing all this tv stuff. First Heroes, now this.

Even if I can't stand her voice and she takes me out of the show.

She's also the voice talent for one of the characters in Out Of Jimmy's Head on Cartoon Network.

And her voice is amazing.

Some great musical moments on the show:

Oh Kristen

*empathizes with the eye patch lady in second video*

Well, at least in the third video Ellen's voice is somewhat less annoying than what I usually hear, and hey, I spent 3 months with the LSofH OCR on constant replay. I just don't understand her appeal. But at least it looks like the make-up department is doing a great job, even if that hairstyle is... well, hey, could've been worse. It could've been blond :p.

I just don't quite get that show :(.

New season started off tonight with a little roughness around the edges, imo. But I like the conflicts for the season. Maybe everyone gets a five or six episode arc.

I do worry if the series can hold fresh as a 22 ep format.

I'm a new fan of the show. Just finished watching the entire first season on DVD earlier today and I absolutely enjoy it! I love Olive! She makes me laugh so hard!! Chuck is adorable. I love the chemistry between all the 4 of them. Lily and Vivian are awesome too. OMG! Lily
is Chuck's mommy! Who'd have thunk?!
Why are there only 9 episodes in the first season?

I won't get to watch the new season until the DVD is out, unfortunately. :(

Writers strike!

And sucks you wont get to watch the new season for a while! :9

I enjoyed the first episode, especially Autumn Reeser's small role.

Yes! Pushing Daisies is back! Great premiere episode.

Great season two debut.

French Stewart. Surprised he didn't squint like he does whenever I see him on TV.

The premiere didn't do so well in the ratings.

http://tvbythenumbers.com/2008/10/02/wednesday-ratings-abc-wednesday-night-pushes-daisies/5536

CBS easily won the night in terms of overall viewers, and viewers aged 18-49. Things were not quite as bleak for ABC as I had originally feared based on the very early numbers. Once the fast affiliate ratings arrived we could at least see that ABC carried the night among 18-34 year olds. Things do look bleak however for Pushing Daisies which only scored 6.32 million viewers and did not perform well in either age demographic. Worse, still it lost viewers from the first half hour to the second (6.71 million to 5.96 million). It lost to Knight Rider (7.56 million) in viewers and in the demos

Who the f**k would rather watch Knight Rider than Pushing Daisies? I swear to God, everybody that doesn't think like I think should die!!

People are actually watching Knight Rider? The only time I could stop laughing during the movie pilot was when I was rolling my eyes or checking the clock. KITT is the best thing (read: only good thing) about the show.

Anyway, I thought the premiere was more than solid. It's sets up some nice plot lines for the season, including some side action for my man, Emerson. I missed this show's quirkiness, highlighted by me grinning uncontrollably when the narrator did his '23 years, 142 days, 6 hours and 3 minutes' deal in mentioning time. :D

ABC didnt help any by barely promoting Pushing Daisies.

I'm pretty sure 83% of the ad revenue in promoting 'National Stay At Home Week' () was focused on Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.
