Drama Pushing Daisies

I'm pretty sure 83% of the ad revenue in promoting 'National Stay At Home Week' () was focused on Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.

Both of which are God awful now.

I didn't even know about the season 2 premiere!!

Ack!

I never thought the show would continue! I better get back into the mix!

I bet a lot of people thought it was cancelled. Nine eps is usually where shows disappear. It hasn't been on since Dec. 07.

I liked the premiere, the show could be too cute and chessey in another else's hands, but the cast, director's and writers are able to pull it off.

That's what I thought at first, but the narrator has really grown on me and I think the show would lose some of it's charm if he was gone.

I'll have to catch the first 20 minutes on Hulu. Totally overslept!Ugh!

Emerson is just an amazing character. The conversation in the car about the Piemaker and Chuck's relationship putting images in his head had me rolling!

I want more Olive and Viv. :(

Bones audience grew 5% from last week and its adult demo ratings did similarly as it increased its margins of victory in all categories and buried the competition from 8-9. Knight Rider fell about 10% from last week. New Adventures of Old Christine increased its audience and gained a tenth in the 18-49 demo, but its 18-34 demo was still startlingly weak. Prognosis: Negative. Pushing Daisies got pushed down even further from its premiere losing 12% of its audience, but maintaining its 18-49 demo at what is a dismal level.

I'm glad Bones is doing well, but come on.What happened to the audience? We're in a recession, don't people want something upbeat, even if it's about death?

I think people really think the show as cancelled. I mean I just can't see any reason for this show not to be doing well. It's absolutely fantastic!

You're gonna have to go into the Grey's Anatomy threads and say that.

I see it's not looking good in the numbers/ratings game. Damn shame too. I love this show. :(

I wonder if ABC would consider a slight marketing boost, which is to say any marketing at all because there's been practically none. However, as cancellation seems to loom, I can only quote Emerson from the last ep ...Oh, HELL NAW!

I think it's just one of those shows that are a niche...you know...only people with good taste like it...and everyone else watches reality tv. =P

I just hope they get to finish the story. Give it the back nine to wrap up the series if they want to cancel it. I would love to have the complete series on my shelf. I want Ned and Chuck to get together.

Yeah, I think it's that type of show too.

Well, the problem is Ned and Chuck can't get together though. Unless Ned somehow loses his power, but then Emmerson would actually have to work as a private eye.

Loved the clown car gag in this past week's episode.

By the way for anyone who watched Wonderfalls, the last TV show Lee Pace was in, it would've been easy to miss as it was one of Fox's more trigger happy decisions;
Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller told iFMagazine that he will feature a crossover episode with his canceled fantasy series Wonderfalls: "I had to do a Wonderfalls crossover in this season of Pushing Daisies. That happens in episode eight of the second season, and I'm really excited about it."

I was thinking the same thing.

Yeah, that was great. You could seeing it coming from this show too.

Just thinking the last ep over, some of Emerson's shirts were hilarious. It's the nuances of the show that get me. :D

I will be uber pissed if they end up cancelling PD. I need this show! Maybe they should try switching time slots with Private Practice.

I wouldn't mind getting together with Chuck either.:D I also hope they don't cancel the show either because it has so much potential. They could explore why Ned has his power or maybe scientists could find out his ability & want to experiment on him etc. This would probably be a lame excuse to use but what if Ned somehow found out that he was echanted/cursed with the power to give life or take life from others as a baby & that he wasn't originally the way he is now. An even more far fetched idea would be that Ned's dad was a fairy from some strange enchanted fairytale type world & he fathered a child with a human & then Ned ended up half human half fairy with the magical power to give & take life but if Ned finds the way to the enchanted fairytale world he would become normal there as long as he stayed there & then he & Chuck could live happily ever after because Ned touching her there would not hurt her.

I would gladly shoot the narrator.
The narrator gives the series a... James and the Giant Peach feel to it. I was able to bear with him for 9 episodes... not sure if I'd feel the same way as you once I start watching the second season.
