Do you guys think that the film will use the name "Pym Particles", or do you think that this doesn't quite fit the modern MCU?

Too early to tell but , I cannot see why they would not use it .

I think they have to use it. I think it totally fits.

No reason he couldn't name the particles he discovered after himself. There's nothing exceptionally corny about that beyond the premise of the character.

Yup. In the scientific community, inventors often name their inventions after themselves. For Hank to have named his invention (or discovery, more accurately?) "Pym particles" fits quite nicely.

The Higgs Boson comes to mind, although I don't think that Peter Higgs named it himself. If Pym ends up as a senior scientist of the same, or greater, reputation and 'celebrity' as Higgs, I think that could work well.
