Confirmed deleted scenes so far.

1. Prologue with young Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) infiltrating a military compound in Cuba to retrieve a nuclear warhead acquired by a dictator, Castillo (Jordi Molla).

2. Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lily) are introduced discussing their relationships with Pym and with each other while having coffee, with Cross revealing his plans to carve his name is History through Pym Technologies.

3. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) doesn’t return the Ant-Man suit after his “Trial by Water”. When Luis (Michael Peña), Dave (T.I) and Kurt (Dave Dastmalchian) go to a casino, Lang sneaks into their van as Ant-Man and helps them win by cheating on the craps table. When they return home with the money, Lang pretends to not know what happened and joins them as they celebrate.

4. A montage of Lang using the suit for his own benefit: Rigging an ATM machine and using the money to pay two years’ worth of child support to Maggie (Judy Greer), watching Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson) in school and diverting a ball to whack a bully in the face during a game of dodgeball, throwing paperclips at Paxton (Bobby Cannavale) while he’s at work, and trying to rig the lottery by pushing his numbers into the chute, which he fails to accomplish.

5. Lang observing while Maggie puts Cassie to bed and they discuss whether Lang is a bad men. Pym communicates with Lang for the first time at this moment, and realizing that whoever is watching him knows about Cassie is what prompts Lang to return the suit.

6. Originally, Cross’ attempts to reproduce the Pym Particles with animals would precede him unveiling the Yellowjacket to Pym and the potential buyers and then killing a man in the bathroom. He’d also be shown testing the suit several times and therefore being exposed to the Pym Particles.

7. Epilogue with Lang retrieving the stolen Pym Particles from HYDRA operative Mitchell Carson (Martin Donovan).

8. The original post-credits scene would be a gag involving Dave, Luis and Kurt.

According to Peyton Reed, the rough cut was roughly 130 minutes long and there's at about 15 minutes worth of deleted scenes that'll be available on the home release.

Cool.

The Hank mission, Cross testing Pym Particles on himself and discussion with Hope sound like they should of stayed in the movie

The montage sounds like it would have been handy for reminding people that Scott was indeed a criminal. They made such a point of his going Robin Hood on Vista Corp that I thought Bobby Cannavale treating him like crap felt sort of forced.

All that stuff sounds pretty cool but I could see how Scott using the suit for kicks and giggles might have turned into a bit of a sidetrack screentime-wise.

Peyton Reed mentioned in the interview with CinemaBlend that he suggested to Marvel that they use the alternate opening scene with Hank as a new One-Shot. I hope so!

According to the Lego set, Hank Pym uses a stealth suit which looks like the normal suit except everything that is silver is painted black.

Pretty much all of this, except for maybe Scott using the suit for ****s & giggles, should've been in the movie IMO.

I think Scott's personal use of the suit (#3 & #4) would've undercut a lot of the noble do-gooder personality that the current film establishes so well. It might have been funny, but it's not like funny was in short supply.

I'm also glad Carson got away with the particles, because it "leaves something behind" for the next guy to use. (I remember Joss mentioning that once in an interview about how this whole shared universe was able to grow organically).

Yeah, I'm glad neither scene was kept (like the rest, though). I don't think Scott is a pure do-gooder, but I do think they should show that he didn't want to repeat his past mistakes. Having him commit crimes he isn't punished for would undercut that. That being said, it might have worked. With him ending with his daughter when he hears Pym's voice could show the guilt catches up with him. I don't know. I'm happy with what we got.

There’s one extended sequence where Scott Lang is pretending to be a cable repair guy and he comes into Hank Pym’s house. It was originally him casing the house before they went in there (to steal the Ant-Man suit) and got into the safe. It was a fun thing because there was a little cat-and-mouse going on with each guy sizing the other one up and it was really fun as a scene. But it started to be a pace killer and we decided there was a much more efficient and fun way for those characters to meet for the first time.

Official release of the scene with commentary from Reed and Rudd

A lot / nearly all the deleted stuff described above isn't in the Blu Ray! Was really hoping for the Hank intro mission scene. Has no one else noticed the lack of this cool stuff mentioned by Peyton?

They will probably turn up on the Phase 2 set bonus disc.:cmad:

Maybe Marvel are saving the Hank mission for the return of the One shots. Reed said Marvel they were thinking of releasing it and Feige likes doing the One Shots.
