Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates.

If you want to be technical, it has not been a lightswitch change. The first major chink happened in "Covenant" when Clark found Lex's secret room with all the Kent stuff.
They tried over the period of season four to repair their friendship and they just couldn't. Slowly since then it just has been deteriorating more and more and it was at about Commencement that it just turned ugly.
After that, Lex never felt the same about Clark although even later in season 5 Lex would at times help Clark out if he needed something (the antidote for the vamp virus in Thirst, getting into that club in Exposure) but by the end of season 5 things could never go back.
I dont know if I would call that helping Clark out, per se, more that Lex had ulterior motives for helping Clark.
True, although he didn't let Clark know that...
He made it seem like he was doing it to be nice.
