Question for all you Mac people

Hey mate, I have a iMac and had a Mac book. It depends on what you're using it for. Someone might crucify me for this... But Mac's are pretty much outdated after 2 years... unless you keep upgrading them. The processor is only 2.13 when you can get a 3.33 and 4-8gb of RAM instead of a measly 2gb on that macbook. But for $400? Probably not that bad.

Honestly the only thing I really need it for is Final Cut Pro. I have a very nice PC for just about everything else, but I really prefer Final Cut over Adobe, so I'd like to get a cheap Mac(in good condition obviously) to use Final Cut on.

EDIT: So knowing I basically am just using it for Final Cut Pro, is it a good deal?

Thanks again.

I would upgrade the RAM then. Get 4, 6, or 8 GB

Yeah the one thing I HATE is lag when it comes to running programs like After FX and Maya. I have 8gb on mine and I'd rather it be higher (HA!) but 4gb is probably the min you need if you are frustrated by the same thing.

My friend is selling an (early) Macbook 2009 for $400. It is in good physical condition and it has everything seen on this link: http://www.everymac.com/systems/app...-duo-2.13-white-13-mid-2009-nvidia-specs.html

Is this a good deal or should I pass on it?

WOW....$400? Great deal! I sold my early or mid 09 less than a year later for $700. It was in amazing shape and had some extra software on it, but not that much that would make a big difference.

Take a look at www.mac2sell.com an craig's list to give you a realistic price range for what that machine goes for. But I would imagine $400 is lowballing it by at least $100.
