R.I.P Blockbuster

sounds like you have bad intel... but ill leave it at that :woot:
I might occasionally download something if it's a rip of the DVD/Blu Ray. But a movie that's in theaters and I'm getting a shaky camera recording the screen? **** that ****. I'll wait for the DVD.

Doesn't Netficks charge a mothing fee? I don't watch many movies, so I like just going out and renting what I want for a one time fee.

Also, Blockbuster never got rid of late fees, they just changed the name to "re-stocking" fees.

A mothing fee? They've never charged me for moths, then again I've never seen them have moths in stock. :cwink:

Though they do have a monthly fee, but it's really nothing if you watch a lot of movies, plus there's no late fees and an endless selection whether in hard copy or if you stream on your computer/TV.

I'm going to report every single one of you illegal downloaders to the FBI. I'm a law abiding citizen and this is Sparta. :o

You know what definitely doesn't have a monthly fee? Piracy :o
Yes, but sometimes you get ****** picture quality. No thanks. :o

My piracy has a limit and it cuts off at movies (save a few here and there) and video games. (because I don't know how those ****ers worked when pirated.)

This reminds me I need to gets me one of them there external hard drives. :o

We had two Blockbusters in our town, one just closed but the other seems to be doing good business. We've got their $25-$30 (can't remember exactly) plan where you can rent two movies at a time and keep them as long as you want, then exchange them for more. I find it a good deal, especially since I do watch a lot of movies, but don't always have time to.

The monthly fee is for one DVD at a time is the price of one Blockbuster rental though. So if you were to watch just 1 movie per month, you'd pay the same price, but have the option to watch up to 8, since you can probably make the turnaround of DVDs work out for 2/week.

I'm surprised Blockbuster is still in business, Netflix is a better deal and RedBox is more convienent and a lot cheaper.

And yet, Netflix is still better. :awesome:

Plus they still have the biggest selection. I think.

Yeah, Netflix's library is WAY better than Blockbuster, who has a policy on not carrying certain titles to try to cater to the "family" crowd. Besides, Netflix not only has a good, affordable monthly rate, but they can also stream on your computer and your console system. By bringing back late fees and shorten rental period, Blockbuster is sounding its death knell. Good riddence.

The only thing I don't like is that certain films have started to not be released on their release date on Netflix for some reason. I remember reading about it, but I'm too lazy to look up why.

Yar.

Yeah, you get crappy picture quality, but I see rentals as a try-out to see if you like it enough to buy the movie/game. Piracy removes the cost of said try-out.

I only rent video games. Never rented a movie, unless it was off Netflix

Hint: "Unless it's off Netflix" meaning I never did at Blockbuster or anything. Even when I worked there.
