R.I.P Blockbuster

Netflix is awesome. Even when I don't watch movies on a regular basis I just hang on to the ones they send me and send them back when I'm done. They've never caused me a problem ever and now that I can stream live on my X-Box or Roku... who needs TV?

All the Blockbusters over here have pretty much shut down. When a franchise has to close up shop in the midwest, you KNOW they're no longer relevant.

I've never had a problem with Netflix. They've always sent my picks quickly.

Same here. The only issue I have with Netflix is that there are some movies that are backlogged and I've been waiting forever for those discs (such as Chuck season 2 disc 1 and Megan Fox's Jennifer's Body). However, they have such a diverse library and I just watch other movies instead.

This news makes me happy. I had my identity stolen by an employee of blockbuster, whom stole a bunch of PS3 games on my account by making a duplicate copy of my card. Getting that taken off my record and off my account took WEEKS! Even when I proved that it wasn't me on the store cameras, they tried charging me for them.

I hate Blockbuster. Good riddance

They should've given you the games for free and then some.

Blockbuster is just reaping the karma from all those mom-and-pops they put out of business. They had to close 4 out of the 5 stores in my immediate vicinity. The bells are tolling.

Just saw one of the Blockbuster ones @ Publix last night for the first time.
