Frankie Abernathy, who starred in MTV's "Real World: San Diego" in 2004, died Sunday at her mother's home in Shorewood, Wisc. She was 25.Although an official cause of death has not been determined, Abernathy suffered from cystic fibrosis, according to MTV News, and was diagnosed with the disease at age 3, said her mother, Abbie Hunter.
"It was very sudden," Hunter said. "It wasn't something that was expected. She was doing fine, and we really don't know much yet. It was still kind of a shock, and it just wasn't how we figured things would go. It seems like her little body just gave out."
Abernathy left midway through the "Real World" season because of conflicts with her roommates and wanting to be with her boyfriend back home.
