I know the movie has it's own thread but i thought it was a topic that could develop into a general talk about racism in movies and leave the movie thread to posters reviews.

I find the guy at Latino Review to be a pretty obnoxious writer for the most part and here he seems to be mad b/c the film makers didn't put a positive Latin character in the movie, does he really think that a movie should make sure they tick boxes so that every race has one nice guy per film ? is he right ?

Discuss!

Two things he says at the begining that just fills me with confidence about this review:

I don't normally do film reviews...

If you want a thorough review of the film then you can read the dozens of reviews that are already online.

... lol?

You're absolutely right, Hunter; it shouldn't be about ticking racial boxes. I think he was trying to sound clever and opinionated.

Maybe he's having a hard time separating reality and fiction. I think this touched a nerve and he just couldn't let it go.
Latinos, again don't go see this film. According to a line in the movie, "we live like sewer rats" and speak a "monkey language."
Every movie has its villains and sometimes it maybe of a certain ethnicity, Irish, Russian, Italian and so on. Poor guy, I guess that one actor playing the same role really ****ed his head up too. I hope he gets the help that he needs.
