Iron Man Ramin Djawadi to score IRON MAN!

I like Steve Jablonski, he did music for Transformers and The Island. I think he could have made some great music for Iron-Man.

No, absolutely not. It's time we need a resurgence in full-orchestral adventure scores, and not this Zimmer/MV synth-string mess we've been getting for the past few years. If there was anyone from MV that Marvel/Paramount/Favreau could've picked, it should've been John Powell. Say what you want about X-Men 3, but his score for that film was FANTASTIC.

I'm still going to give Djawadi the benefit of a doubt, but I'm not holding my breath either. I pray that Favreau will encourage him to go more orchestral than synthy.

I'm still angry they didn't go with Debney though. That man needs a break, instead of being known for his comedies and family films (which also applies to David Newman as well).

I agree, John Powell would've been so good for this film. I love all of his scores, but particularly his score for Paycheck is the kind of score that I think would've worked so well with this type of film. He's definitely my favorite film composer right now.

Love this guys work. His score from Blade 3, despite the suck fest the movie itself was, was great. Also his work on 'Prison Break' and 'Blade the series' was awesome too.

Hmm, don't think I know his work but I do thing I was aware of the little contributions he did on Pirates. Have to admit Badelt's stuff was great.

It might be an iTunes exclusive once May arrives. I mean, aside from his work on Blade: Trinity, Prison Break and Mr. Brooks Paramount may not do a regular CD release for Djawadi's score depending on how successful the film is at the box office.

We’re using players like Slash and Travis Barker and just creating this kind of "classic rock" feel to the whole thing. So now that they've started releasing straight clips for the movie we've been able to listen to bits of the actual score. Kind of interesting to note that they definitely seem to be going for a hard rock kind of sound here rather than an orchestral soundtrack. Normally that would be pretty horrible but surprisingly, I think it works really well here.

Really love what Ramin Djawadi did with the score. Classic rock sounding rather than orchestral. There's obviously going to be some CLASSIC ROCK songs in the film, notably one prominent action scene; those who read the novel know the scene I'm referring to. Think with this blend it will be a seamless mix. Iron Man never hit me as orchestral, the beat to this soundtrack is rocking metal and that's what Iron Man is made of. He's the first heavy metal hero.
