According to an article on Ramon Rodriguez in the Los Angeles Times, current plans for the third Transformers movie include Ramon Rodriguez's Leonardo Ponce De Leon Spitz (Leo Spitz). Per the article, director Michael Bay imagines a much "meatier" role for the character of Leo in the third movie. Transformers 3 is currently scheduled to hit theatres on July 1, 2011.

So much for hoping that we actually get new characters with a glimmer of substance. Spielberg, we need you now more than ever. Control that monster that you've unleashed.

I am probaly the only guy who actually liked Ramon Rodriguez. Sure he did have bad parts but overall I think he did a good job and I would like if his role is expanded upon

I liked this guy in the movie, I didn't expect his role to be so big but I enjoyed him. I kept thinking afterwards that I was sure I'd see this guy in more stuff later. I thought of him as a young John Leguizamo

As long as the crying and whining are not included in TF3 I am...alright...with it.

Leo was great! Good to know he's coming back.

I hope the Twins tase him. :hehe:

He was an idiot and the worst part of the movie. He wasn't funny at all and didn't do anything.

Goddamnit this news sucks. Screw this guy having a bigger role. If humans are going to have important roles, leave it to Sam and the military guys.

He led them to Simmons, who led them to Jetfire, who led them to the Matrix, who led them to the victory.

Leo saved Earth, if you look closely. :yay:

Leo was funny haha! I won't mind him being in the 3rd as well.

If I look closely I find you just told me that he led them to the worst part of the first movie, a piece of extraneous clutter in the second movie, another piece of extraneous clutter in the second movie, and much of that leading was in the company of the worst part of the second movie as well. Honestly, if Bay is intending to head down this road more, then he could be getting further away from elements that make Transformers interesting.

At least to me anyway. :oldrazz:

Leo is the most important character in the entire movie.

So, Leo gets more focus? How about, oh I don't know, more focus on the freakin' TRANSFORMERS! ... and Megan Fox. Shia can come too.
