Rank the Christopher Nolan Films

Doing this also reminded me how much I love The Prestige. I'd point to that as Nolan's most underrated.

Definitely. It's in my top 20 films of all time, mainly because I love Christian Bale, and I actually think it's my favourite of his performances.

1. memento
2. the dark knight
3. inception
4. batman begins
5. the prestige
6. insomnia

The Dark Knigh
Inception
Batman Begins
The Prestige
Insomnia
Memento

I appreciated Memento for what it was and how it was creativly done, but I don't love it. In fact I've only seen it the once and I'm not that excited to see it again.

The Prestige (Bale's and Jackman's best acting and Nolan Bros. best script/editing, closest is Inception script/editing wise)
Batman Begins (Best Batman movie ever...)
The Dark Knight (Wally's best film)
Memento (Nolan's best story)
^^All very close^^
The Following
Insomnia
Doodlebug

I can't rank Inception with out spending a few months watching the Blu-Ray daily like I did with Begins/TDK/Prestige. But, it could go in between Prestige / / Begins. It's a close battle...

4. The Prestige (Liked it a lot, didn't love it)
5. Insomnia (Couldn't really get into it)
6. The Dark Knight (I find it very tedious when Ledger is off-screen...feels too long)
7. Following (haven't seen it in a long time...don't remember liking it)

ALL AMAZING FILMS!!! Christopher Nolan is the most consistent director of our age, which is why I think he is the best. All others that are brilliant are hit and misses.

Never saw Following. I absolutely love The Prestige. One of my favourite films.

The great thing about The Prestige is that once you know the twist, you absolutely HAVE to watch it again so you can pick up all the subtle clues. Heck, I just watched it on Monday and was picking up new things I'd never noticed.
