My favorites

Inception
Memento
Prestige

Havent seen Insomnia or Following

But as far as best goes:
Memento
TDK
Inception
BB
Prestige

Since you made a separate list of your favorites and what you consider his best, would you mind explaining why you would put his movie in that order of the "best" list? I'm just curious.

I wish more people would explain their ordering in general. It would be interesting to read and discuss

The Prestige
Inception
Batman Begins
Memento
The Dark Knight
Insomnia

All of them amazing films.

1 The Dark Knight
2 Inception
3 Memento
4 Batman Begins
5 The Prestige
6 Insomnia
7 Following

1-4 is definitely interchangeable for me though.

This is hard to do. All his movies are beyond great to me, so it's no easy task to rank them. It was even tougher to decide between Inception and TDK. But...

1. The Dark Knight
2. Inception
3. Batman Begins-The Prestige (tied)
4. Memento
5. Insomnia
6. Following.

I was back-and-forth between Inception and TDK, in fact I still probably am.

Doing this also reminded me how much I love The Prestige. I'd point to that as Nolan's most underrated.

I think Insomnia is underrated , both Pacino and Williams were brilliant. I haven't watched the Prestige in some time but I would put that as the top film. It's hard to rank his films when they are all great. I'd go with
Prestige
Inception
Batman Begins
Dark Knight
Insomnia
Memento

1. Batman Begins
2. Insomnia
3. Memento
4. The Dark Knight
5. The Prestige
6. Inception

1. Inception

3. Batman Begins
4. The Prestige
5. Memento
6. Insomnia
7. Following.

1. Inception
2. The Dark Knight
3. The Prestige
4. Memento
5. Batman Begins

My rating is just what I feel at the moment...Memento can easily be #1 and the other movies can be moved around

The Dark Knight
Batman Begins
Memento
Inception
The Prestige
Insomnia

I haven't seen Following and I don't think I've watched Insomnia in one sit-through, I've had to watch that one on TV in parts.

1. The Dark Knight
2. Inception
3. Memento
4. The Prestige
5. Batman Begins
6. Following
7. Insomnia

I haven't seen The Following, but mean to.

I personally am beginning to find INception really overrated, but hey.

The Prestige
Memento
Inception
The Dark Knight
Batman Begins
Insomnia

Never seen Following.

Today I will watch for the first time Memento (I know it's late)

1. The Dark Knight
2. The Prestige

6. Batman Begins
7. Following

1.) The Dark Knight

3.) The Prestige/Batman Begins
4.) Memento
5.) Insomnia
6.) Following

Basically they are all solid movies... He hasn't got a bad one on his resume. There all either really really good or damn well mind-blowing.

Plus my opinion can fluxuate... but thats how I feel at the moment. I wonder where Batman 3 will land. :cwink:

Inception
The Prestige
The Dark Knight
Memento
Batman Begins
Insomnia

Watching The Prestige over the weekend, I really was able to appreciate the subtlety of the movie and the metaphors that sort of all intertwined with each other. Batman Begins ranked low simply because that movie suffers too much from overacting on Katie Holmes' part and poorly-written exposition. How many times do they have to spell out that the train can't reach Wayne Tower and why?

I take a count of the first placed films and here’s how the ‘’unofficial’’ poll has gone:

The Dark Knight – 19 (first places)
Inception – 13 (first places)
The Prestige – 7 (first places)
Memento – 4 (first places)
Batman Begins – 1 (first places)

Looks like TDK is still the big winner :)
