Rank the divisive SH movies: ASM, SR, Hulk, IM2, SM3, X3, Watchmen

1) Watchmen (10/10)
2) Amazing Spider-Man (7/10)
3) Superman Returns (7/10)
4) The Hulk (7/10)
5) Iron Man 2 (6.5/10)
6) Spider-man 3 (5/10)
7) X-men 3 (3/10 -- entertaining, but terrible nonetheless in that they got the entire theme of the series wrong)

Iron Man 2 - I honestly don't see what's wrong with the movie, it's a lot ot fun. Pacing felt fine and does a great job of juggling multiple plot points in my opinion.

Watchmen - I thought it was good, not great. Don't see anything glaringly out of place though.

X-Men 3 - It's good for what it is, a popcorn movie, it's a fast food comic movie, but that's also what's wrong. We had two very intelligent X-Men movies, then we got this one. The casting was great though and we got to see Iceman and Pyro finally attack each other and Iceman fully iced up. It seemed like a movie that was rushed into and through production to either retain the rights and/or give Bryan Singer the middle finger.

Spider-Man 3 - There's a good movie in here, but it tried to do too much and use too many characters. You had Harry as the Goblin which the story needed, Sandman because Raimi wanted him and Venom for the studio. The big problem is none of them fit together, they all had separate storylines, just linked the three villians would've helped tremendously. Plus change Peter's story in the black suit from dancing on the street and asking for cookies to him spending far too much time in costume and starting to lose his morals.

Superman Returns - This was just boring and too much of a rehash of Donner's film. Let's hope Man of Steel gives Superman something to punch.

Hulk - This movie misses the mark so badly, the audience wants to see Hulk smash, not work out his daddy issues, but gets a couple extra points for the cool use of using panels to simulate a comic.

Amazing Spider-Man - Totally misses the mark on both Peter/Spidey and Lizard it's not even funny. Peter/Spidey being such a *****e and not giving the Lizard his family, kills both characters.

If I had to rank them:
1.) The Amazing Spider-man. It has flaws, but it's far and away my favorite Spider-man film. It fixed a lot of what the past films got wrong in terms of characterization.

2.)IM2. Not a bad film at all. It had a few hiccups. I think they needed more development on Whiplash, and had another lackluster climactic battle.

3.) Watchmen. I enjoyed the film. It wasn't perfect, but it handled the material better then I expected.

4.) X3-Not horrible. Just an average summer popcorn movie. People rip on it because it mishandles one of the most popular X-stories out there, but the film itself wasn't that bad.

5.)Spider-man 3. Not good, but not one of the worst films ever like some make it out to be (which is just ridiculous). The massive hype of SM2 hurts it more then anything (and ironically, I was let down more by SM2 in theatres then this film, because I didn't have high expectations for it). It definitely has some horrible moments, but then it's got some really nice moments.

6.) SR- Lacked oomph. I didn't hate it, but it was just kind of meh. Which seems to be the general reaction to it in general.

7.) Hulk-Yeah, it wasn't good. But the one thing I can give it props is that at least it failed while trying to be creative, rather then by trying to be a cookie cutter action piece (think Green Lantern, Fantastic Four). And I actually really liked this film's version of Ross.

1) Watchmen. A minor classic. It wasn't as deep as the GN of courrsh, but on it's own as a film it's richer and more satisfying than we generally get in cinemas.

2) Iron Man 2. Ridiculously fun. Everyone is clearly enjoying themselves and it shines through.

3) Superman Returns. I can't hate this. Despite it's many flaws, the film has so much heart. Honestly didn't have to be rebooted, the franchise was salvageable. Not that it matters since MoS looks amazing. Honestly though, I find Routh is generally more charismatic than Henry Cavill.

4) X-Men 3. Bad X-Men movie, serviceable generic blockbuster. I think it's worth watching for the actual Last Stand.

5) Spider-Man 3. Eh. Thomas Hayden Church really elevated this film all by himself.

6) Hulk. Meh. I have no feeling one way or another. I liked the portrayals of the characters by the actors. Also Nick Nolte.

7) The Amazing Spider-Man. I hate this movie, with a passion. Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem is my most hated movie of all time and even that has a reason to exist. Never has a film been so pointless. Just slap Spider-Man on the title and you've got a huge grosser, why remake a less than ten year old film and do it so ****ing poorly? **** this movie.

1. ASM
2. Hulk/Watchmen

I don't really care for the other ones.
