..I know it was rubber..
The BB suit was rubber but it didn't look like it.
Batman89 suit was rubber...and looked like it.

He looked like the original Michelin man with the quality of that stuff.

There's too many times on BB where the suit looked like rubber, giving Batman some bulky shoulders (Batman talking to Gordon outside of his house), double chin (Batman being rescued by Alfred), chest (Batman in the Tumbler with rachel) and even paunch (Batman picking up the antidote at the batcave).

I thought the logo was cool; like they were going against the grain, y'know? We see one thing on the posters & something totally different on his chest.

That would've looked a lot better if they kept it looking like the posters, or all the other symbols throughout the movie.

1 - Batman Begins. Seriously, the panther-like neck on the cowl takes the cake. Batman really looks like an animal ready to kick some serious butt in this suit. Even when you're watching the extra "cape and cowl" on the bonus DVD, you get a shot of Bale putting the suit on without the cowl, and even with no specific lightning or anything, he looks beast-like, huge and threatening.

2 - Batman Forever's sonar suit. Sure it looks like one of those funny-looking Batman action fig, but I always liked the fact it was the first Batsuit on screen with a big Bat symbol across the chest. Plus it had no nipples -if I remember well-, and I liked some of the little liberties they took with it anyway, like the little fangs on the mouth opening of the cowl.

3 - Batman Returns - I always felt that the suit had an... "armor" quality to it that reminded me of the Dark Knight Returns... for some odd reason. Couldn't explain why but it's just the way I feel.

4 - Batman 89 - I just never liked the yellow oval around the symbol... It really bothers me. Other than that, for the time, it's a pretty nice suit. It got old though, now that I look at it again.

5 - BF and B&R basic Batsuits - Nipples didn't really bother me at the time -I was a kid- but now they just look so out of place that I can't enjoy watching the movies themselves. This, and the ears which were far too long as well.

6 - B&R ice suit... Oh... God... How could they? Just... How could they?

I won't rate the Dark Knight one just yet, I'm waiting for the movie to be released so I can judge it from every single scene it's featured in. For now I'd say it'd rank just after Batman Forever's sonar suit and before the Batman Returns one, its flaws being the shape of the cowl and of course the now infamous "leg-maze". Other than that, I absolutely love the concept. For now.

Dat be the one. I actually thought it looked a little more bat-like. Although I think Bale's was better in that regard. The curved symbol looked more like an axe-blade than a bat.

They all had their pros and cons, in my opinion.
They've all done certain things very right, and they've all done other things very wrong; I think if you used influences from all of them and didn't set out to make a different suit, you'd prolly get the best one.

2. Batman Begins - a nice version with the current plain bat logo
3. Batman Returns - the armored look is awesome
4. Sonar suit - no nipples, first to have the plain bat logo on screen
5. panther/forever regular suit - dinged for the nipples - but actually is pretty cool looking especially in dark shots where you cant notice them
6. Onstar suit - I know its a painted B&R suit with a slightly different cowl but it actually looks a lot better with this color scheme

7. B&R regular suit - the blue color scheme sucks
8. B&R ice suit. they just ruined a sonar suit to do this

I wont rate TDK until i see it onscreen.

I didn't understand why, years after the B&R fiasco, they would show us a nippled Batsuit in the commercial. I said the same of "Birds Of Prey".

I really like the 89 costume, but prefer the Returns symbol on it. I also actually like both Forever costumes. Begins is probably my favorite, but I don't like the cowl as much as previous costumes.
