After the releases of X-Men: DoFP, CA: TWS and TASM 2, I decided to rank all Marvel movies (since the first Blade, of course, the previous ones are too dated) according to Metacritic and then Rotten Tomatoes.

Metacritic:

Maybe grab the IMDb ones too. They fluctuate a little more, but it might be interesting to compare.

Nice to see some of the X-Men films doing that well in those sites.

I had no clue X3 had a MetaCritic rating than Thor 1/Iron Man 2/Thor 2.

I expect GotG to fall somewhere in between CA:TWS and The Wolverine on both those lists.

Hell it makes up almost half of the Top 10 on RT

In fact it's the highest rated Marvel series on Rotten Tomatoes.

1) X-Men

Five movies with four of them in the top 10 = 80% of the franchise is in the top 10.

2) Captain America

Three movies with two of them in the top 10 = 66.67% of the franchise is in the top 10.

3) Spider-Man

Five movies with two in the top 10 = 40% of the franchise is in the top 10.

4) Iron Man

Three movies with one in the Top 10 = 33.3% of the franchise is in the top 10.

(I didn't include Avengers as that isn't a series just yet as it only has one movie so far.)

Hmmmm...most of my favorite Marvel films are near the top of both lists. The only film I really love that the critics didn't(they didn't hate it either) is TIH. That's probably my favorite Phase One solo film, how unpopular that is.
