Great. I think he will do a great Dr. Strange, but I do think it is possibly they could have chosen someone who looked more the part. (With a beard, possibly their natural accent is American, etc.)

Crimson Bands of Cytorrak, this was perfect casting.

I am a little surprised they got him to be honest. Cumberbatch is a red hot A list actor with lots of options.

Cumberbatch worked with Chiwetel Ejiofor in the 12 years a slave film, so he's also a reason why the movie landed Ejiofor as the villian.

I remember when Benedict Cumberbatch was first cast, I was actually a little disappointed. Perhaps I was still a little attached to the idea of Joaquin Phoenix at the time, but my impression was that I wanted to be surprised, and Cumberbatch was just too obvious. But I very quickly came round to the notion that maybe he was obvious because he was such perfect casting. Cumberbatch is a fantastic actor who I've been a huge fan of since Sherlock, and he's gonna totally nail this role.
