Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

They shouldn't have hired him as Cyborg. Just have him still play Ali so we can have this...

Ha, the guy looks like he could jump straight into an Ali film. Or they could make him a cyborg Muhammad Ali! :woot:

Woo! News finally!

Looks the part and has a theatre background just like Christopher Reeve before 78 Superman.

Honestly I'd rather have a movie that introduces the league than a movie that's mainly about Batman fighting Superman. That fight should only be a scene like Iron Man v Thor in Avengers. A bit of fan service.
You should try being a Star Wars fan. :funny:

Also glad they're using Vic over MMH in this supposed lineup.

The New 52 League was smartly written so that it would lend itself to a film.

Though that said I would still love to see some Morrison and Waid 90's influence in the film.

Honestly, while it's doubtful we'll see Victor Stone's transformation into Cyborg in this (that would make it more than a minor part imho) I can't wait to see how they handle the CGI for Cyborg. I'm thinking a combination of Iron Man and Transformers which would be incredible to see.

And if Snyder is in charge of bringing Cyborg to life I'm sure he would redesign him in such a way to make him a character as cool looking as Iron Man. Cyborg could become a fan favorite if his CGI and action scenes are handled correctly.
Yep, need to nail him. Mist of the main JLers are men/women in suits. Cyborg and Manhunter allow for something more exotic.

I was a massive Star Wars fan growing up. Read all the books up until the NJO. The prequels sort of deflated my love for Star Wars though. I don't even own them on DVD. I prefer to watch my OT theatrical cuts and pretend that those are the only canon films.

I'm interested in Ep VII but I'm being tentatively cautious about it. I hope it's great and reinvigorates my love for the franchise.

If WW, Cyborg, and the other League Member are contained to a post credit teaser, I will admit that I over-reacted and will pursue the appropriate act of contrition for the Hype. I swear on it. But, we all know that is not going to happen.
You don't publicly announce that someone is playing WW for the first time on film and then place her in a scene not every moviegoer is going to stay to see .

I don't know. Did he? Looks like he was born for it in any case.

Yes

Ray Fisher, who is perhaps best known for portraying a young Muhammad Ali in the stage production Fetch Clay, Make Man, is in negotiations to play Victor Stone, the promising football player whose life is derailed and is forced to become the hero known as Cyborg, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

All I will say is this. EP VII comes out months before MOS 2, and there is far more info on this film then EP VII. We don't even have one confirmed casting yet. :funny:

Vic was probably the best part of the so so
JL War film. Also good in JL Doom.

So I think the character lends itself very well to live action.

I can't wait to see what Cyborg looks like. Would you guys prefer a slimmer or bulkier look?

Perhaps someone should start up the Cyborg costume thread (in the Justice League forum).

I'm pretty sure he wont actually be Cyborg in this movie, or at least not until the end. I think it will be more a case of the origin of Vic Stone being woven into the plot.

Partnership between LexCorp and STAR Labs, maybe? Perhaps the METALLO Project?

Please let it be so!

I'm hoping they start him out as the luthor funded starlabs metallo project. Good old two birds with one 'stone'.

Yep, i wouldnt mind that at all. I think thatl be the route. I think vic stone and john corbin would have to be employees of starlab, or soldiers injured on life support (robocop).
if thats the case i dont know how or if theyd make him an ex football player (if thts important) i know they filmed a football scene.

He did indeed.

He did thats the only place I can find pictures of him at the moment.

Good to know, thanks

Yes, he did. That's why I posted the comic cover. :woot:
Oh I thought you were being super-clever and cast him as Ali Vs Supes yourself through natural inspiration! :woot: Good work anyway

One of Lex's projects to defeat Superman. :cwink:

I'm hoping for a slim look. I actually hope they do massive redesigns for the live action version of Cyborg. His comic look always seemed too hokey to me, and wayyy too shiny. His metal parts should be more gunmetal colored imho, or even black (think Robocop 2014).

I actually like the way the New 52 did it. Bulky at first and then evolving into a slimmer version when he gets an upgrade.

I guess it's possible to get a Vic Stone appearance early on in the film and maybe his injury will occur in whatever world event Superman must stop at the end setting him up to be Cyborg later.
