Downey is an attorney who has to go back home and defend his Alzheimer's suffering father played by Nicholson, who has been charged with the murder of his wife. Sounds interesting and pretty dark, no doubt.

This. jack and Robert seems a better fit, or a more explosive one. Not dissing Duvall here.

Well, not the commercially successful stuff. Maybe stuff like the Soloist and Zodiac. Downey still has to play a villain, which I think will probably be one of his more coveted roles in the future.

I can see why they chose D'nofrio for Kingpin now. Dude blew up. And they set it in my home state to boot.

So it's more of a father/Son drama than a courtroom thriller which is a bit disappointing, but it looks decent.
