When you wave a mojo detecting device over Reek this is what appears on the readout.

So we are talking mojo reserves that go off the scale.

My knees hurt just looking at this. :p

I have honestly forgot that IW comes out this weekend several times in the last few months. This past weekend I was trying to figure out if it came out that weekend or this coming one. For years I was always at the Thur night premier and not I'm pretty meh about it.

I'm going 3 times opening day. :woot:

When did you start losing interest?

Well at least for me when it comes to the Star Wars sequels while of course I was always going to see them it's also kind of a double-edged sword.

For me it's like Game of Thrones vs A Song of Ice and Fire. Will I read The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring if and when they come out? Of course, and I don't doubt their quality, but no matter how good the experience my hype is always going to be dampened by the fact that I've seen the tv show ending first. Even if the two are vastly different, I've still seen a version told already. And I say this as someone who thinks A Storm of Swords and A Dance With Dragons are two of the greatest fantasy novels ever written.

Same thing with sequels to the OT. I got a version of the sequels about 25 years ago with Thrawn, Jedi Academy, Yuuzhan Vong etc, so really the films were never going to be this massive thing I've been aching for my whole life.
I never made a start on the Star Wars EU all these years despite a lot of interest. I've only recently seen Clone Wars and Rebels for the first time. I'll be reading all the SW comics I can find for a start but I have a huge backlog of books I've bought before I get started on the SW ones. I loved Thrawn in Rebels and really want to see more of him. I'd be super excited for a film version.

I think the SW films have played it a bit too straight and narrow (and boring) as they've moved forward with very few alien races playing major characters. It feels like humans have expanded and taken control of multiple planets and most of the battles are between different humans across the galaxy, even if some are enhanced by the Force. It makes the universe not feel anywhere near as large and exotic as I'd want it to.

There was a lot of varying quality with the EU stuff, but a lot of it genuinely does expand the universe. After the Yuuzhan Vong it got exotic in every sense of the word, bite down on your bottom lip and hold on for dear life exotic.

I think GotG vol 2 was the first one I didn't catch in the theater. I still love the MCU but it's just not a priority these days. I'll try and make time to see it this weekend but if not getting pre-sale tix screws me then I'm okay with that.

Sounds good. Will definitely check everything out slowly. I hope the new canon eventually has the same ambition in this area.

Royal baby! God save the queen forever!! Love <3 Congrats :D

Understandable. What films are you most into nowadays? Or are you less into films in general now?

Really, only thing I'm into film-wise that I pay attention to is the MCU and SW. Other movies I'll see something if it gets on my radar. I had 3 months of Movie Pass my mom got me for Christmas and didn't even use it once.

My 2 big things I've been doing a lot of lately is games and music.

Oh right. Well hope you enjoy IW and Solo when you get around to them.

Which games are you most into?

After Black Panther I'll only catch the two upcoming Avengers movies in theater, maybe Captain Marvel too. After that, I'm done with the MCU.

I got into the beta for the new MTG Arena so I've been playing that a lot. I'm also big on my PS VR and have a ton of games I got for PS4 Pro that I have either barely played or not played at all.

That's oddly specific Aziz. We don't really know of any movies past IW/A4 besides the new SM and GotG. May I ask why you've decided to wash your hands of the MCU after those films?

I wouldn't mind trying M:TG. Have played some of the earlier games.

Have hardly seen anything VR related. How are the games nowadays. Are the graphics anything like we see on modern non-VR games? Yeah I'm trying to catch up on a lot of old games to get them done and move on to others.

Why was tacit banned?

From elsewhere...

His being critical of the MCU had absolutely nothing to do with his banning. His calling people "simpletons" on the other hand....

Apparently he reached his 10 infractions. I honestly didn't realize that those things were like lifetime. I have two myself, but I'm like "Oh, yeah, they know I'm a good person now, it's like it never happened!" Apparently that's not how it works and you don't have to do something "big" to be finally banned.

I didn't know they were lifetime either. Seems to me they should be removed after a long period of good behavior. :(

Well he didn't exactly have a long period of good behaviour. There was the whole Kreem Pi thing that happened fairly recently.
