That's a shame squeekinator. im sorry.

this lounge has gotten diverse!

Thanks. But a full Lounge is a happy one, nice to see so many people around. :)

Thanks. :) We took the day off from work today, just taking it easy. Lots of family with my mother in law. She's been blessed with great kids, I couldn't have married into a better family.

In more bad news, Huey Lewis just announced he's too deaf to tour and cancelled all of his shows. :( He puts on a fantastic show. I've seen him twice.

One movie I haven't seen since it first came out is King Arthur. Apparently Stephen Dillane played Merlin.

Is that the one with Clive Owen? That one was fantastic. :) Of course the Charlie Hunnam one wasnt all that bad either.

I want a Dragon Ball Super western movie.

That King Arthur was directed by the amazing Antoine Fuqua. Dillane, Clive Owen, Ray Winston, Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy...glorious film.

I have that on DVD. It was quite good. :)

I wish there was a sequel, it was the best version of the story since Sean Connery and Richard Gere did their thing lol

Not sure how I missed that one with all those guys in it. Will have to keep an eye out.

Ray Winstone fights with bladed brass knuckles.

Finally just about done getting all settled in to my new spot. Last piece of the puzzle tonight, just in time for WW3. :hehe:

Weren't all those, THE ODYSSEY with Assante, Ted Danson's GULLIVER'S TRAVELS and MERLIN all like Jim Henson Co-productions with like Hallmark or something?

No, they were all Robert Halmi Sr. productions.

I was never really a Martin Short fan until he did MERLIN.

It's not a cheerful movie or fantastical. Arthur and his knights are at the point in their lives were they are burnt out and cynical. But their camaraderie is done pretty well and it's got a pretty good story. It's a shame that it wasnt received more positively. I think people just weren't all that thrilled about such a dreary "gritty" King Arthur movie. It's set during the Roman Occupation of England so the film feels more like a period piece in the Roman Empire rather than the traditional medieval period piece about knights and chivalry.

This is what the wikipedia page says for the Gulliver's Travels Mini:

This miniseries is notable for being one of the very few adaptations of Swift's novel to feature all four voyages. The miniseries aired in the United Kingdom on Channel 4, and in the United States on NBC in February 1996. The miniseries stars Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Peter O'Toole, John Gielgud, Omar Sharif, Isabelle Huppert, Geraldine Chaplin, Shashi Kapoor, Warwick Davis, Kristin Scott Thomas, Alfre Woodard, Kate Maberly, Tom Sturridge, Richard Wilson and Nicholas Lyndhurst.
