Well, obviously, he'd need help if he had something like the batmobile. But really, he could do alot of it himself, and keep those who do help him in the dark. He'd still need someone to patch him up whem he's injured, though.

If he had full body armor it wouldn't matter if he was shot or not so he could take out his batarang.

And if Batman uses his brain he could take out a whole gang. He might not be able to take them out at the same time but he could take them out seperately.

Use a blowgun with sedative darts to take out a few of them. Drop some flash bangs, and use a taser to K.O. the rest while they're confused.

It'll hurt but I doubt you would get knocked down wearing it. It would depend on if the gun was a pistol, shotgun, or automatic.

The Question makes sense here. Batman is not exactly a Wolverine type character, you know, he does not jump in and start swinging blindly at whatever is going on. He uses stealth and smarts to kick many butts. You could almost call that his prep time. He knows that he is only one man and needs to plan ahead for coming up against multiple opponents.
