Realistic Nolan(ized) Justice League

yea there is so many different directions that could happen.

right, and i don't think it should matter even if nolan helms the movie

Realistic Justice League is just a lame and absurd concept.

This.

And honestly, I don't know that the Nolan version would easily integrate into a JL setting. I think Batman absolutely HAS to be in any live action JL film, but the character has to come across as an equal, as the strategist, as the brains of the operation. I don't get any sense of authority from Christian Bale's Batman/Bruce Wayne. This is an area where perhaps a new rendition of Batman on film is called for. Although I'd be perfectly happy if WB saw fit to open up the Nolanverse to the wider DCU. Watch as the whole world comes to grips with the ideas of super powered individuals and whatnot. I've always laughed at the idea that BB and TDK are even remotely "realistic". Gritty, sure, but that's quite a bit of what makes up Batman's world. Imagine Themyscira, imagine Star City, Metropolis, even Atlantis, Mars and Oa. Give the world a fantastic film and it's ALL good.

The Justice League in itself can never be presented to be even somewhat realistic even if you tried. Its a costume party of superheroes.

Even in the Nolan Batman series by itself, there are certain villains that quote on quote "don't work" as in too fantastical. You don't have crossovers with the other DC characters but at least there was the easter egg at the end of BB. TDK was a masterpiece, but the one thing it missed was another teaser, like the first one and like all the post-credit scenes Marvel has to build up the Avengers.

Campbell's GL won't have other DC characters but you can still do easter eggs for that, like hint at John Stewart or Guy Gardner, or about Sinestro becoming the villain. You don't need the crossovers to build up the hype just as much as Marvel does.

I thought that a realistic Nolanized Justice League film would be anouther Batman sequel.

I don't think you necessarily have to reboot the entire Batman franchise as much as re-imagine it in such a way that Batman comes first and causes other heroes to come forward and present themselves in a world where one masked vigilante exists and is attempting to fight new types of uber-brilliant criminals that conventional tactics cannot handle.

And I don't feel that "realistic" means taking away their abilities as much as providing an explanation for them and allowing them to exist in a world that has rules and that we can relate to on a level above and beyond a more fantastical approach to the material. And "gritty" is such a generic and misused term. Grounded is more accurate. Nolan took a serious approach to the material. He made a film about a guy who's parents are killed and it inspires him to dress as a bat and use brains and technology to fight crime, not a "Batman comic book movie."

As for Christian Bale's Batman not being leader; that's understandable at this point. He's only been Batman for a year or so. He lacks the experience to be that leader at this point in his career. He is still learning. I'd rather see an older Batman decide to establish or even be a part of any Justice League. It's much more of a stretch to see some young inexperienced Batman suddenly be an "equal" of any hero, especially ones more powerful, without the experience to hone his ability to lead effectively.
